I don't feel bad about this one, I feel we totally out played them. Ott stole it, Dallas is no threat, they go only as far as Ott will take them.

We'll take the next 2. As long as we have Gus in net!
Don't know if I feel "bad" about it, but I'm not letting the team off the hook. They could hardly complete a pass to save their asses. PP & PK were both abysmal. Zucc was as useless as he was before the last game. Kap is snakebit. They weren't as bad as the last game in Dallas for sure, but I don't feel they played a great game.

Huge bummer. Props to Otter. No props to the refs. I don’t complain much about the refs, it’s a hard job. The two calls on Foligno were garbage. I can tell you this- if flower was in net tonight we would’ve lost by a lot more than one goal. I hope Dean doesn’t use this as an excuse to play MAF in game 5.
You and me both know he´s putting Flower in. Because that´s the way we roll, he said

So we're not allowed to rightfully complain, because others are doing so? We're supposed to be "better" than them by ignoring blatant mistakes? K.

On another note, that call vs. Hakanpää near the end was similarly suspect. Just wish they called the game fair. But yeah, Foligno got sent to the box twice for doing nothing wrong, because that fits the goddamn script I guess. No other reason that stuff gets called. It's not even the typical "missed call", it's just weird.
No. We can complain. Absolutely. But they aren't the only reason we lost. Special teams. A limp top line.

I just can’t believe how terrible Kaprizov has been. Pretty much a complete no show
Kirill is not bad, they are just pushing too much to him, they need to spread the puck around like they did when he was out, too many passes being forced to him and end up being turned over, get back to playing like they did without him and watch this team explode in scoring again. JMO

As bad as we were I feel we still out played dallas, sure a lot to clean up, this loss is on us, everything that cost us the game we can improve on.

It did have a significant effect on the game. Not in terms of the number of bad calls, but rather the timing. First one directly lead to the goal that broke the ice. Second one directly lead to a two-goal lead - and was called with 5 minutes left on a one-goal game, against the team that's behind. That's the bit which confuses me the most, because usually the weak call goes the other way, knowing their game management shit. Suppose the came later, with Hakanpää.

I never said it's the only reason we lost, but it has a significant effect. Wild already play with a bit of extra care because they're missing two crucial PK forwards, and Dallas has a strong powerplay. As such, we're already at a disadvantage because of that, not being able to necessary take as many "risks" in battles as one may want to. To get called for absolute BS on top of that is just a double whammy.

Special teams performance in general is a whole other discussion, to be handled when people are not ready to throw half the team into a guillotine.

I get it. I'm not crapping on them entirely. But, it's such a Minnesota team thing to do to have a chance to take a commanding lead and just not take advantage. Gets old.

They would never do it, but I’m not against putting Sundqvist in for Foligno. Foligno is running around hitting everything, looking for anybody and running his mouth. He is a marked man with the refs now. He ain’t done taking penalties and it’ll be at the worst time (like today) He missed the break away, and the pass for the easy one too. Optics wouldn’t look very good sitting a guy wearing the A.

As a MN sports fans, we all know where this series is going. Tonight was our opportunity to advance. Blaming the officials is fools gold. We had plenty of chances on the PP, breakaways, etc. No excuses! Gus had a poor game by his standards. Kap needs to score. Foligno needs to take it down a notch. Plenty of blame to go around, but they just have to be better next game.

I know you're not crapping on them brother, believe me I feel the same way about Minnesota sports, We're the toughest SOB's out there, we get a knife thru the hearts every year and always come back for more. BUT last years team and this years Wild have actually given me a feeling I have for no other Minnesota sports team they don't give up I can't remember a team like that before because they always seemed to pack it in when they got down, Vikings lol I don't dare to get that "attached" to them anymore, I watch them for shear entertainment!

Deano leaving us all terrified for potentially putting Flower in is what makes us so devastated about this loss.
With Gus in net this series is winnable

Best of 3, tough to switch goalies past game 5. Having 2 proven playoff performers like Dumba/Klingberg on the backend is going to be awfully difficult to replicate going forward, so 97 needs to get on the scoresheet because winning the eye test(against 21) isn't enough.

It's funny how some of you keep bashing Zuccarello, yet he leads this series in points along with Hartman.

Kaprizov looks a bit banged up, but I didn't expect his production to drop like this.

Boldy also needs to do more.

Kap and boldy where are you. Another one and done incoming. Its hard to watch a team with no middle of the lineup.

Zucc had at least two absolutely brutal passes where he basically just cleared the puck for Dallas on the power play. Like, a high schooler would have done better.

He doesn't get to show up for one game and become immune from criticism.
