Any player playing the point on the powerplay does that. There's a reason why they routinely say "xxx" walks the blueline and it's typically the player playing the point.

The PK has a defender that pressures the point man and when Rielly digs it off the board he has to move across the ice to get an open lane to pass to a player.


Much better than throwing the puck cross ice and giving up a breakaway 50% of the time.
