Game #4 : Kings vs. Senators - 10/9/13 - Overtime Win!

Ottawa is not a bad team, that is a playoff bound team, they were not going to just roll over.

You guys every team in the league is going to bring their A game against the Kings.

I understand what you're saying but it was just how the team played. Blowing a 3 goal lead never sits well with me I guess.

I'll take it, but I'm still hoping the Kings can play a more complete 60 minutes very soon.

A-Mart is so much better than Muzzin and I like Carbomb with Richie and Carts, at least for now. Frattin really hadn't done much to warrant being on the second line.

Brown still drives me nuts, 2 penalties, 1 cost a goal but he also scored 2.

A-Mart and Carcillo looked really good I thought.

Yeah, Martinez was so solid. I don't think he ever deserved to get benched. He's much more calm with the puck than Muzzin. While he doesn't have the physical presence or big shot that Muzzin does, Martinez brings the puck out of our own zone way smoother than Muzzin does. Muzzin-Greene is so hard to watch when they try coming out of their own zone.

Awesome games from Brown, Carter, and Richards. Carcillo looked surprisingly good as well and Marty hopefully locked down a few more games. I still think King needs to sit though.

Please Sutter don't ever put Muffin and Fraser back in the line-up!

I thought the 3rd line of Clifford-Lewis-Frattin looked pretty good, had some nice energy and cycling. Lewis looks better at center and even Clifford looked strong tonight, for the first time since last January.

The King-Stoll-Nolan line was weak, I have always been a critic of Stoll but even I am shocked at just how horrible he has become, I'm not sure he will be an NHL player when his contract is up after next season. What does this guy realistically add to this team that could not be replicated by someone making 60% or more less than what Stoll does, will he ever score another goal?

He also doesn't hesitate to shoot, unlike Muzzin. That's what Muzzin's biggest problem is.

The first penalty was a weak call.

Stoll will ride his name for a few more years atleast. Same reason Morrow can still find work, not to mention your boy up in Edm....(hell maybe even RR in some peoples opinion)

Seems like some league execs are like fans where they hear a name from the past and relate his old form to him, instead of what he really is now.

Outside faceoffs, Lewis is twice the player of Stoll imo. Shame Lewis has NFC what to do with the puck.

Except for setting up the game winner, but alright.

It was a 4on3 and he simply passed the puck to Richards who did all the work/thought. And that is how every assist has been. Brown's PP goal he got from Carter. Kopi has just been a product of a hot PP.

Does Curry have a note pad with which questions to ask??

I think Stoll is just off to a rough start like every other year, maybe he's still getting back into game mode after the concussion and seizer. I mean I do think Linden Vey will be ready to take his spot when Stoll's contract is up, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to start the year.

Very quietly, which goes to show that numbers aren't the be all end all. He's not having a very big impact offensively and in our O zone. At all.

That's true. The shot in which he hit the post on the PP...he was at least
in the SLOT. It's the first time I have seen him in the slot on a PP in over a year. I thought they were talking about getting him off the half-wall on the pp. He had ZERO goals last season on the PP!
How is that possible? Any SCRUB who gets micro minute PP time
can score a PP goal. There's a reason why Carter and Brown score goals...because they are in scoring positions and go to the net.
Kopitar was called by one scout in his draft year "he's the BEST goal scorer in this draft, better than Crosby" He used to put up 12-14 PP goals and he WAS NOT on the fcking half wall.

errr.

The Kings have been a product of a hot power play. I don't see why you'd bother to single out Kopitar.

It will be the funniest thing in the world if the answer to our #2 LW riddle is "Daniel Carcillo"

Maybe Shore will take Stolls place. I have a hard time seeing Vey in that spot.
