Yeah this one is going off the rails in a hurry and I'm not surprised in the least. A fast and hungry young group that'll create a ton of high danger chances. Dan the man will be in shortly after their next shot.

This feels like an Edmonton game.
I think Calgary’s been the better team, with the better chances, but Buffalo has just capitalized and Markstrom hasn’t looked great.
 
Markstrom has got to make some big saves for us, not necessarily bad goals, but when you constantly being outplayed by guys like Thompson and comrie, and are getting paid the big bucks, you need to come threw, seems like another game where we are going to have to completely take over if we want to win.

So the the team in front of a $6mil goalie needs to play like the 90s Devils and lock everything down for him to look good?

I've always been lukewarm on him tbh. He's definitely a good color in between the lines top 4 guy, definitely Andersson looks less comfortable with Zadorov. Lindholm and Rooney both blew coverages on the first two GA. Ritchie and Lucic also weak clearing the zone on the 2nd one.

Flames need to get some zone time established. This is a young team they're up against, get the forecheck going and force some mistakes.

The problem is, the others team goalies are stopping those kinds of chances, and aren't being paid as much as markstrom

I'm actually impressed with how much Sutter seems to have learned from that Oilers series. A little late but still good sign.

Hanifins biggest strength is his skating, and given Buffalo is completely out skating us, it would help lol.
