I really don't care about that lel... better to see some eye candy goals than some really ugly boring goals just because of the speed lel...

What does ‘lel’ mean?

Is this something new? i most have missed it but why the hell does the ref blowing the whistle right away the gk takes hold of the puck.

They blow the whistle because the goalkeeper is covering the puck. Are you new to hockey?

I have to say....Swedish D´s are a real threat...but forwards...meh....don´t be surpised if Finns takes this game over in the third, Finn forwards are coming more into this game.

Go Sweden!

They literally blowing the wistle before the gk even touch the puck lol... in every situation the gk is close to the puck they doesnt even get the chans to put the puck into play... never seen ref's blowing the whistle this fast so often it happens but not every single time.

Are you a boomer since you don't know what lel means?

Kakko and Kupari by far best Finns so far. Sweden plays beautiful hockey right now (considering it's u20). Reffing is something else all right. Watching Lundell laying american football tackle on swedish player who isn't close to puck right in front of the ref was hilarious.

Kupari and Kakko are dynamic. Kupari has really sick set of hands. Lundell is solid. Tolvanen should destroy this competition but he is invisible. Him and Latvala are worst player of this team so far. Second period was ok for Finland.

Brännström is incredible and i think whole Swedish team plays really entertaining brand of hockey.

Reffing in this game have been comical. They have called really strange penalties for both teams.

Finland comeback imminent! took them 39 minutes to get going.. hopefully referees will be neutral in third period not bias so many clear swedish penalties gone missing and they get phantom 5vs3 from nothing good job

Can’t say they’ve blown the whistle once where the goalie could’ve put the puck into play. They blow quickly because the play is dead and nobody should approach the goalie.

I know what lol means. I have no idea what lel or what being a boomer means.

Are we watching the same game?

ok.

Seems to me that Ahokas is yet again trying to make things too complicated and structured. Just let them play free flowing hockey, it looks like they're overthinking the plays way too much.
This is exactly how Ahokas coaching looks to me in general. Reminds me in fact very much of the awful Lauri Marjamäki ”handbrake hockey”. The kind of hockey that takes very much the quickness and the skating out of most players in their teams, because of exactly the overly structured system. I hate these very system oriented coaches in general anyway. Ahokas seems to be one of the worse kinds of those.

How are Laaksonen and Holmberg?

I've been paying attention to Laaksonen. He's been very solid. He's broken up a lot of things in the D zone, made a few good pinches and has moved the puck pretty well. Nothing earth shattering but you can tell he has pro experience.

He's been getting a lot of minutes.

Sweden looks way better. Finland has trouble even with basic clean o zone entries. Players not being in sync with each other. Ugh.

His pre-tournament interview gave almost exactly the opposite impression. The hockey analysts view of him in Finland isn't that he's overly tactical at all.
