The season for NHL Carolina's Finnish players got a tough decision.

The Carolina Hurricanes season is still on the plus side, though it didn't look like in the Hurricanes dressing room right after the fourth conference final.
It was just the fourth and final defeat at 4-0 Boston Bruins. The end of the season round before the Stanley Cup finals would freak Hurricanes players.
See a summary of the match below:

Sebastian Aho was visibly disappointed. The tears were not far away when Aho demolished the finished conference hall.
According to Aho, the great disappointment was that Hurricanes didn't get the best during the match.

- I don't underestimate the opponent. It was true for their goodness that we couldn't catch our own game. However, we showed ourselves during certain lots that we can play against anyone. Where the lie was then, no better. Of course, the moments were affected. Not overwhelmed by the goal and the opponent got, but it shouldn't be an explanation, Aho said to Ilta-Sanomat.

In addition to Aho, the season ended with Teuvo Teräväinen and Saku Mäenalaelt.

For the first time in the NHL playoffs, Aho played a strong downfall. The Finnish star led the second top chain effectively. Aho collected 5 + 7 in 15 matches. Sharp Sharp Power at 7 + 3.
Hurricanes' journey to the conference finals deserves a big sixth, as the team trained by Rod Brind'Amour went to the playoffs for a wild card.

In the opening round, Hurricanes poured the captain of the captain, Captain Captain Washington Capitals. In the second round, it swept up in style in four matches at New York Islanders.

Hurricanes was not at any point in the conference terminals at any time. Bruins took the scores in the match series crushingly 17–5.

- The opening items in our home games were good for us, but the following were not so strong. However, I would not put everything in the peak of special situations. They certainly won special situations purely. They used their own places better than we did, Aho said.

An inexperienced team was unable to respond to the depth of Bruins material properly. The team also had insurmountable difficulties in passing Tuukka Rask, who was the best player in the match series from start to finish.
Did a heavy trick come to you during the Heavy Match Series?

- Well yeah. In the previous series, we did not make any direct attack paints and top corners. A lot of paint was made so that the line became weaves, we had garbage in the mask and painted paints. It was missing today and all other games.

At the final moments of the Fourth Conference Final, the audience was very fond of standing and thanked Hurricanes for the season.

- You (journalists) think this was a fantastic season for us, but we thought we would have had to go further. That's why it's so annoying, but ... There's nothing to say here, Aho sighed disappointed.

- Of course we can be proud of all. It has been a tremendous journey, and yes, this is where the head is able to go on holiday.

Apparently Hulk Aho just smash everything in the conference hall.

5 goals in 4 games. 1 goal in 2 two home games. Ouch. I feel like everything goes wrong after we blow the lead in first game. Back in 2009, we have good chance to win game 1 against Pens but after that everything was hot mess.

No matter what, this season was more than impressive. We were youngest team in the league. Cheapest team in the league. Great effort, great management. I'm so proud to be fan of this team!

Imagine what we could be if we weren't a team paid for with change left in the stands after a game.

What an odd thing to complain about right now. Detroit, Washington, Edmonton and pens are the top 4 salary teams in the nhl. Imagine what they could have been.

Only one team can win the cup and this team was one of 4 left standing.

Not saying the team doesn’t still need to add, just the timing of your comment is odd.

The Bruins have allowed 20 goals in their last 14 playoff games. On their current 7 game playoff win streak they’ve given up 9.

Ridiculous.

Disappointing end to what was a fantastic season. I'm proud of the boys and what they accomplished. Hopefully now that they have a taste for it, they will not wait 10 years to get back. Now let's get Aho signed to that long contract and also Mzarek to a contract. Hopefully the injuries we shall be hearing about won't be too major and the boys will be ready to go come October.

If you were at the game last night, I would check your car. I'm hearing cars got keyed and heard over 55 were keyed Tuesday night. I think Boston fans have outdone the Buffalo fans. I just don't get why people find it necessary to destroy other people's property.

Go Sharks or Blues take these massholes out.

Look man, I know you dont like my opinions, but the fact that we couldn't finish on Rask, and scored 5 goals in 4 games means yes, we need more scoring, and offense. Yes, we have good parts, but if we had say two more proper top six forwards that might have made a difference. If Jwilly doesn't retire, he's probably a 3rd line guy next year. Remember the drop off Rod had after the cup? It was sharp.

Staal is borderline top six, even though he had a great year.

TT, Aho, Svech, are solid, Nino is yet unproven if he will be a true top six or was having a good post trade year. But who are the rest of our top six next year? Staal? Jwilly? Ferland is gone. To me Staal and Jwilly are solid 3rd line, 2nd line on a budget team guys. And Staal, Jwilly, and Nino are all unknowns after this year in terms of performance. /opinion

Got to quibble with that- Rod won his second straight Selke the year after the cup win. Had he not messed up his knee he could have had several more productive years

Pretty much. The drop-off for Brindy didn't really happen until the back-to-back knee injuries (2/14/08 when he tore his ACL in a game against the Pens and then at the start of the 2008-2009 season when he either reinjured that knee or injured his other running the Canes 5k before the start of the season). Even still he scored 51 points in the 2008-2009 season.

I mean he went from Ape in 2006, to needing to retire and looking out of place in 3 years, and yes an injury. An 80ish point beast to what - 25 or so? Its not his fault, but things don't heal and break easier when you are pushing 40.

My point is - Jwilly being a 2nd line guy next year is a big if.... Hell, the man may retire. I doubt it, but he might.

His 82 point season was the year after we won the Cup - 2006-2007. Then two 51-point seasons in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 and then 19 points in 2009-2010 on a *bad* Hurricanes team (35-37-10) that lost 14 straight at one point. Again, he only played about 70% of the season in 2007-2008 before suffering his ACL injury. Based on his production up to that point he would have projected to 70 points that season had he stayed healthy.

Look man, I know you dont like my opinions,

What? I honestly don't even recall any of your opinions other than the comment I just made. If I disagreed or agreed with you in the past, so be it. It's par for the course on a message board and if it offends you that someone comments on your posts and doesn't always agree with them, well, not much I can do about that.

You're confusing "we need more talent" (where I said I agreed), with complaining about spending this past year where the team made it to the ECF and had the 2nd best regular season of any Canes team. I'm not disagreeing with needing more talent upfront next year (and I've said that for a while), just the timing of your complaining about spending is odd given how successful the team was. As Joe posted, the Bruins have allowed 20 goals in their last 14 playoff games. On their current 7 game playoff win streak they’ve given up 9.

Yes, we need more talent, but the Bruins were a far superior team that is playing really well right now and shutting everybody down. Complaining about the salary this past season makes no sense to me. Toronto spends way more and Boston took them out. CLB went all in at the deadline and BOS took them out. That's that's the part I find odd, not your opinion that to get better, we need more talent.
