Roussel is a big baby. Discuss the Kings first victory of the season!

They played well, Kudos to Brown for playing better, also Budaj for hanging in there.

Pearson is a Beast!

Good game. Saw some encouraging things from a variety of players.

As I've been saying, this is still a playoff team. Those that think we're getting a top 5 pick are dreaming.

Next game is Saturday at home against the Canucks. It's Oktober Fest at Staples. Beer garden and all that before the game.

Let's hope we don't do what chicago did with Shaw and Saad.
Let's figure out how to get Toff and Pears locked up.

Well, if they both score around 30G, The Kings are boned, one will have to get traded.

Cause no one is taking Gabo/Browns contracts, not even Vegas, that's a pipe dream.

So what the heck do the Kings do with Teddy Purcell, that guy has no NHL future, he is just not good at anything. Also can't play in the Kings system.

He doesn't even have speed, or very good hands anymore.

****ing Seriously! Is there any coach that's a bigger idiot? **** Sutter I'm on board with the tank and all, but can we just win 1 ****ing game.

Team wins despite coaching and I think Brown had an assist!!!!

Edit: Oh yeah, **** the Stars.

Vegas will take a healthy Gabo. The Kings need him though, if he's able to play the Kings will not expose him.

Have to let the UFA's go. Vegas will take someone in the expansion draft, and maybe they could trade someone else there, other than 12 and 23 of course. Greene would have a year left on his deal, maybe that's a guy they could trade to Vegas. Maybe buy Greene out after this year, which seems to be a better option than had they bought him out last June.

They can't trade Toffoli or Pearson. They're too young. If they have to ride out some of these bad contracts, can't trade proven young guys.

Exactly what they've done with him. Let him sit. The contract is cheap enough, send him down to Ontario and it's $500k on the cap. Oops, $700k.

No reason to protect him. No real reason to think Vegas will take him, and if they did, go ahead, the Kings need the cap space. Going to be 35, and $5m on the cap for another 4 years? Thanks for the 2014 playoffs.

Deserved win tonight. Pearson has been outstanding, but goal tending is still an issue. Powerplay still needs work, but overall this was classic Kings hockey tonight.

Oh and **** Roussell

Would you be wiling to give up a first round pick this year if they take Brown? I think Vegas would bite on that.

Its not a good draft and that money could be used to help pay these 2 guys.

Let's see if they can string together a winning streak with a win against the Canucks on Saturday. We already have seen the team at their worst in the first three games, so this win tonight was a pleasant change of pace.

Highlight of the game: the Stars' goal horn sounding off when Martinez scored the OT winner.

His meltdown in the penalty box was epic.
I'm really surprised he didn't get tossed after that tirade.

Not a fan of Gatorade.

It's just doesn't seem like that's enough. Brown's actual salary is still higher than his cap hit next year. It's a $6m cap hit for 5 more seasons. A single 1st round pick in an apparently not good draft isn't enough. And it's 100% of the contract Vegas would take, yes?

It's an expansion team, but they have to exist with the cap too. They just hired a guy that ran a cap site.
