Well, if they both score around 30G, The Kings are boned, one will have to get traded.

Cause no one is taking Gabo/Browns contracts, not even Vegas, that's a pipe dream.

Yup, darn skippy, Dam. Gabo has an outside, outside, outside chance if he comes back and tears the league up.

Brown, not a chance in hell.

That's why we must sign Tanner now. We should've in the offseason. But now Tanner is probably gonna bet on himself and wait the season out before signing.

Hopefully the Nic Shore era has come to a close. The team looked totally different minus Greene, Shore, the Purcell signing was a small gamble that doesn't look anywhere close to paying off. The Kings should compromise of a top 6 of the veterans we know and a bottom 6 of young, hungry, skilled King players that have paid their dues.

You're only looking at things from the Kings point of view. I guarantee you Vegas is scared silly that hockey will fail there. The last thing on their list of concerns is the Kings cap problems. They need to build a brand and put butts in seats knowing full well it will be at least 5 years and probably 7 or more before they even think about playoffs much less be a real contender (ref Edmonton). Remember, they have no top quality assets and won't get any Doughty's or Kopitars except through the draft. UFA's, yeah right.

Just think about what they are up against. Ma and Pa Kettle come to town after saving up all year -- oh honey, let's go to a show, let's see Elton John or Celine Dion at Caesar's, oh wait -- forget them let's go to that hockey game! I hear the something or other Knights have Trevor Lewis playing! Really.

Who is this supposed to be? Do they exist? :help:

Elias stat: #Kings Nic Dowd's 1st career NHL goal last night makes him 2nd Alabama native to score. Aud Tuten had four 1941-42 & 1942-43

That somebody made it to the NHL from Alabama in the 1940's is astounding....

Shore played last night, thought he looked decent too.

Can we just call them the D-Bags from now on?

"It was a terrible call at the end of the game," Ruff said. "I thought our goaltender was interfered with. He was elbowed in the head before the puck went in the net."

Ruff challenged the play, and replay officials in Toronto took a look at it. They came back quickly with the call of a good goal, and then sent out this explanation.

At 1:20 of overtime in the Kings/Stars game, the Situation Room initiated a review under the terms of a Coach's Challenge to review whether a Los Angeles player interfered with Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen prior to Alec Martinez's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee confirmed no goaltender interference infractions occurred before the puck crossed the goal line.

Therefore the original call stands -- good goal Los Angeles Kings.
Ruff was not pleased and let the league know in his postgame news conference.

"I respectfully and disrespectfully disagree with that. Terrible," Ruff said. "Somebody is going to have to explain why that goal counts. I want an explanation."

He then added in explaining the transgressions of Pearson on Lehtonen: "He's in the paint, he's elbowed in the head before the puck gets there, and it goes in our net. And they look at it for five seconds, and they call it a good goal."

He's still upset he lost to a Kings team with Budaj in the net. If it weren't for Sutter putting Shore out against Benn in his own zone with the goalie pulled they probably lose in regulation.

Suck it stars.

Oh yeah and will the team chip in to cover the loss on the suspension and have one of Nolan/Clifford jump that ***** next game.

Still confused as to why with 2:30 left in the 3rd period with a 1 goal lead, a d-zone faceoff and 6 attackers for the Stars, Sutter thinks it's okay to put Shore, Adreoff and Brown out there.

Did I miss something? Was it icing?

I guess not everyone was happy about the ot win:

No offense, Hook, but you're in la la land if you think Vegas is taking Brown. He has lost all the cache he once had as premier forward (star attraction, leader, etc).

Stanley Cups and being the captain during such runs be damned, he isn't going anywhere. Gabs has an outside chance if he comes back and lights it up, but if he does, do we want to get rid of him? Probly so, but even then, the chance of Vegas even biting on Gabs is slim to nil.

Brown is toxic. We have him until his contract expires, or lord willing, he retires (won't happen, not with all the cheddar due his way).

I was glad to see the kings control procession and put the puck on the net for most of the game. I like how much Jim Fox hate Rousell.

If that goal was scored against LA in OT I would probably be pissed, last night I was wondering why they were even reviewing as I did not see a close up review of what the potential issue maybe. This morning I get it.

Should have never gone to OT though, Dallas should feel lucky for getting one.

After the first puck drop and they iced it, Yes! Stars get last change, but that might have been a good time to take a time out and put Kopitar out there.

Funny you should bring this up. I was just thinking we should organize all the Kings fans and infiltrate the Vegas fan base when it starts. We can try to put pressure on them to draft a 2 time cup winning champion, Brown, to get things started right! I'm telling you this will work.

I think RP is out in Vegas, maybe we can have him start the ground game out there for us!

Wasn't the reason for contact was the goalie was on his way out of the crease? Pearson was guilty of not allowing the goalie to play his position earlier. Pearson is clearly out of the crease on that one.

"scrolls up" Ok, nvm. His right foot is totally in the crease. Suck it Dallas!

I thought the OT goal was iffy. I would have been mad about it too.

The Kings disallowed goal should have counted. Looked like Pearson was pushed into the goalie.

What? Dallas victimized by an opposing forward standing in the crease in overtime. Karma, right? (I know, it was more than being in the crease - but on the overhead the "elbow" barely lands and it seems to connect as the puck is going in the net anyway.)

It felt like the Stars have a one-sided rivalry with us. Kings are like, "Why are you so mad? Who are you again???"

Stars used to own us in the late 90's and early 2000's, but I'll always treasure when they cleared out their front office after a come-from-behind Kings win. Losing to the Kings back then was a clear sign of failure...

I'm just impressed that Budaj allowed TWO bad goals...... and we still won! :amazed:

You know I was going to say before the game that with Budaj's size vs. NHL snipers he's gonna get picked at least once. If he would have only let one of those in like I expected we would have been okay; two was unacceptable. But not many teams will have that kind of skill either so.

It's still a 50-50 call, no reason to get in the media and blow up about it. He just lost his **** last night and it carried into today.

Besides that yeah, Lehtonen was doing that all night, basically just charging out of the crease and contacting people.

Not Brown, Gaborik.
