On other nights they’ll be better. They just aren’t a contending team. This core isn’t good enough. Never has been, and at this point never will be. It needs to be torn down again.

I just can't get past how this vet core is never ready to play. They pick and choose. They're too content. They show up, collect their paycheck, go home.

This is why they need a big wake up call and a roster shake up. One of the core vet forwards needs to be traded as a wake up call. Trade one of them for a package of picks/prospects.

We can call Trouba all the things in the world but what we can't say is he doesn't care. The guy works his ass off. He cares. He shows up to work.

When was the last time we felt Zibanejad and Kreider showed up and roll up the sleeves and get to work? They're so aloof.
