This game will be a good tell on this team. They need to jump all over the Devils and do it early.

Agree. Devils have played like crap and will want to change that, but if Oilers come out flying they could probably break that kind of push. They need to be ready to go and everyone needs to buy-in, no coasters.

Even if they lose but give it all I think it'll be a good sign, what I am most afraid of is the half-ass effort we've seen so many times in exactly this kind of game

I also compiled quotes from all seasons today, so that the home page includes them all. I stopped once the team made the playoffs, it just felt right (though I do still add some, if I find something funny enough that I can add to a meaningless past preseason game).

I'd say 90% of the quotes from the pre, game, and post game threads on this board. It's really what got me to become a fan of the team, the community and humor here.

And the one team he hasn't scored against he's still producing at a 140 point per season clip.

Another fun fact is that there are only three teams he hasn't averaged a point per game against in his career. Nashville, Carolina and St. Louis. And all it would take to get to a point per game against Nashville and Carolina is a two-point game. St. Louis surprisingly would take a four point game, but he also played them twice in his first week playing in the NHL.

There must have been an error on bodog or a typo by the OP. No one would give 9 to 1 odds on a rested undefeated team beating a winless team on the back half of a back to back.
