I think any injury to the defense is harmful. A Suzuki injury buries them, as does an injury to Monty (who is being used more than any other goalie in the league).

Any one injury to any of Suzuki, Caufield, Hutson, Guhle and Carrier and the team will lose.

Didn't the Habs win there last year?

Yeah, and at home too, but we had also won both our games vs Chicago and look at what happened yesterday, so who knows.

Hopefully playing his former team tonight can light a fire under Newhook and he can finally start providing some consistent offensive production for the rest of this season.

Having only 7 goals and 2 assists in 38 games played (averaging 15 minutes per game) so far is just not good enough from this guy and I'm sure Hughes expected way more from Newhook after moving a 1st and 2nd for him. Even Savard as 10 points Alex b'y.

Dear Hughes.. If the Avs call asking you about trading for another Hab just hang the **** up please.

Unfortunately, Struble is no longer waiver exempt so that’s one less roster spot available.

No one knows if Reinbacher might have gotten a call up had he not been injured. He’d be much better off getting more games in Laval, before he becomes an option, IMO.

Anyway, isn’t he out for the season? That’s a lost development year and that will stall his call up with the big club, given how players suffering significant injuries and who miss a whole season, typically have a steeper climb.

I have no doubt he would have been called up if David was playing anything like he was late in the season in the AHL. Struble be damned, Struble has been getting sit this season regardless.

RD has been a weak spot all season.

It was stated at the time of his injury that Reinbacher would be out about 5 months. That means we could see him around March? Here's hoping

March 1st is his expected return date assuming 5 months. But, at the time, it was reported as 5-6 months. I'm hoping for a March 1st return obviously. That'll give him 20 regular season games in Laval plus playoffs (hopefully). That's a decent amount of games to go into the off-season with.
