That's the type of game you have to win against crappy teams if you want to make the playoffs. Bruins lose too many of those in the past few years. They got the job done these last two games against these losers.

2-0-1 this week. Nice way to close out the year.

Happy new years to all!

Good win, but extremely disappointing this team had zero response to Buffalo especially knowing Backes is definitely out.

Buffalo was the team willing to fight... shameful.

Regardless, Happy New Year to all!

Also tied with Philly for 2nd wild card spot now, so that's nice insurance if other Atlantic teams wake up.

Two games in a row, I miss the first period, start watching in the second, and Bergeron scores shortly thereafter. No complaints there! Maybe he is finally getting his game back. :)

Denna Laing, the former Boston Pride forward who sustained a severe spinal cord injury during the 2016 Women's Winter Classic, dropped the ceremonial first puck in an emotional ceremony before the Boston Bruins played the Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden on Saturday.

The injury occurred at Gillette Stadium on Dec. 31, 2015. Laing needed seven hours of surgery to repair and replace multiple fractured vertebrae. Her unrelenting optimism and never-quit attitude has been an inspiration to others.

On Saturday a video montage was shown at TD Garden featuring Laing during her rehabilitation as well as spending time with current and former Bruins, including Hockey Hall of Famers Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque and Cam Neely, as well as with her Pride teammates.

Laing, who recently moved from a rehabilitation facility to her parents' home, arrived on the ice in a motorized wheelchair accompanied by her sister, Lexi. Laing was greeted with hugs at center ice by Bruins captain Zdeno Chara and Sabres captain Brian Gionta.

Spooner stats really starting to come around...

Last 5 games: 3 Goals, 4 Assists, 7 Points, +2

Last 10 games: 4 Goals, 6 Assists, 10 Points, +3

With the right linemates and if he can play consistently with confidence there is no reason why he can't be a 60+ point player. I would love to see him, Pasta and Vatrano locked up to extensions now.

I don't think it's any surprise that his numbers and play picked up right when Krejci's did. It's hard to be effective if your linemates aren't playing up to par. Good timing for them though...

Just in.

Nice to see Denna. She got a hug from Z, Bergy , Marchy and Quaider went up to her to speak to her as well.

Marchy was chirping today.

Kevan Miller was so angry when he was in the box.

Nice to see a win.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL !!! Stay safe and warm tonight.

Was like the old Habs Bruins games where the Habs won but had their gloves sewn on.

Miller is pretty much all talk now if the other guy isn't smaller than he.

Bring out your brooms, it's a clean sweep!

Nice win. Now let's see them do this against good teams too.

Good way to close out 2016. :)

Nothing like a couple good wins to make the negative ninnies crawl back under their rock. Roll B's!

Great win and finish to 2016!

Now, while the iron is hot, add to this team and solidify the top four.

Great triple-header today:

Bruins vs. Sabres
Canada vs. USA
Minnesota vs. Columbus

Bergeron was fantastic - 3 days off skates worked

Kevan Miller is an animal - I'll take him. The **** he gets here is embarrassing

I can't watch Riley Nash without thinking of BruinDust

McQuaid is also one tough sob

The Reinhart's are one overrated family

Spooner needs to play every game- he's got elite offensive skills

If Claude has an issue put him on 4th line but run the PP THROUGH SPOONER

The refereeing gets an F

How's he supposed to do anything when the officials won't let these guys fight?

Not just that but they feel the need to hold down the Bruin who is trying to defend himself while the pugilist on the other team punches him until his fist is a bloody mass.

Krug had another strong game sees the ice beautifully and his defense continues to evolve

In the third when poor Colin Miller lost the puck and the Sabres almost made it 3-2 Claude was ripping when he came back to the bench even though play was heading down other end

Carlo had a nice strong game - not as fatigued looking as of late

Vatrano goes to seems in scoring areas and gets in line for passes - he did it a couple of times in second in front of me. He was involved in the play but as soon as he sensed his linemates were getting or had control he instinctively went for a spot that was available for a pass in a scoring spot but with some separation. He's a 30 goal guy down the road
