To be honest, and I know you guys will hate to hear this, but you should re-sign him for one year and tank again next season.

If the hockey Gods somehow gave you Schaefer + McKenna to go with Celebrini, Dickinson, Smith, Askarov, etc…. you’d be primed for an absolute dynasty run.

No team deserves success tanking at that level, even my beloved Sharks. If they do that I'll change allegiances knowing full well what the team will eventually become. That's not what hockey is, at least for me anyways.
