Don’t get me wrong those are both absolutely horrible and tragic events. But my point is moreso that this franchise has been in the league for 25 years now and has legit never been good. They’ve had so many interesting prospects over the years and can just never turn it into an interesting team.

For all the shit that Arizona took over the years, I feel like Columbus gets a pass for being an NPC team for almost three decades now.

Them sweeping Tampa Bay in the 2019 playoffs is probably one of my favourite non Red Wings hockey moment.

I know what you're saying but Arizona is really next-level shitshow with the cap circumventing LTIRetired contracts, arena drama, and general incompetent ownership.

Columbus has been completely unremarkable, but has to step up its f***ery to be at Arizona levels.

Agreed that was sick, especially during the heart of COVID where it was easy to stay in and lock into the playoff hockey.

That said, they’ve been in the league since 2000 and that’s the proudest moment in franchise history. A first round win, one of literally two series they’ve ever won. That’s kind of insane.

True, I do think Arizona was more obviously bush league, especially by the time we got to the NCAA rink and everything.

I can remember when Columbus and Minnesota were announced as teams. I was a young kid, summer vacationing in the woods of New Hampshire. Columbus started out hot anyways

When does game management come into play? When does Columbus get their power play? Last 2:00 of the 3rd?
