Over the past few weeks it has really been revealing that Christian Dvorak is nothing more than a 4th liner. Bergevin gave up a first for a 4th liner.
Question... who did Phoenix draft with that pick? Is he any good? Is it like Drouin and Sergachev?

My concern for having a total loser mindset is the impact it can have on the younger players. Hard to compete when you have a team no better than last season.

The team is way better than last season.
The habs had 22 wins in 82 games last year. They currently have 15 wins in 37 games.

Idk, but a lot more than 7 in 45 games

They traded the pick to the Sharks, who selected Filip Bystedt.

They also acquired the pick that was used to draft Conor Geekie (Who I would have liked to have drafted, personally).

The Arizona Coyotes acquired the No. 11 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft in a trade with the San Jose Sharks, sending them picks No. 27, 34 and 45 in exchange. The deal was the first under new Sharks general manager Mike Grier, whose hiring was announced Tuesday.

Some people here really liked Bystedt if I remember correctly

Rumours have started that Ekholm is available. Does that signal Nashville is prepping to tank the year?

They sit with pick #10. They're 6 pts out of WC2, but have 3 games in hand.

Don't want Nashville joining the crowd at the bottom.

If we lose (at this point, I hope we rack more losses than wins), I at least hope we lose with a fight.

Oh, and I'm actually rooting for Arizona tonight. And Vancouver.

Ultimately, Maveric Lamoureux. I mean they didn't draft him with THAT pick, but they traded 27th (and other picks) to pick 11th, but kept 29th and picked Lamoureux with it.

I would rather have Geekie over Dvorak... what a terrible trade.

I don't think ownership changes their vision.

If they let Poile go, then maybe that signals a new shift, but until then, I assume the mission is status quo.
