The Habs went into Florida, Tampa, and Vegas and won all 3 games while most here were very likely expecting 3 losses.

Tonight they play the Hawks and most here seem to expect a Habs win so they'll probably completely shit the bed and lose this game because that's just how things seem to go sometimes. Anyway hopefully Hutson can get back on the scoresheet again tonight.
Just realized Hutson is pointless in last 3 games. Not good bruv, not good.

Looking at the numbers since Carrier's 1st game with the Habs.....insane

5-1-0 - 2nd NHL
5 RW - 1st NHL
4.17 goals per games - 2nd NHL
2.17 goals against per game - 2nd NHL
Differential of +12 - 2nd NHL
Penalty Kill at 93.8% - 2nd NHL

And that's the crazy part.....
Those good offensive numbers comes while the Habs had only 12 PP opportunities - 28th in the NHL
And the PP wasn't very good at 16.7% - 20th in the NHL.

Let's hope we can build on these numbers tonight....I want moar

I mean we likely lose to Colorado regardless of who is in net. Lol They're healthy, have won 6 consecutive games & are 8-2 in last 10.

Savard is also a game time decision tonight. If Struble is in then we'll need Monty. Try to get the wins when you can. Montembeault will also probably play against Vancouver on Monday, so this gives him 2 days rest. Considering Montreal travels to Colorado after tonight's game then home to Montreal after that game, the rest is better.

It's an key question, do you put your best foot forward (in terms of goaltending) in the game where you have the best odds of winning or do you do it in the game with the tougher opponent. Conventional wisdom used to say put your best goalke against the harder team but I actually think that's not the best approach. I agree with Marty, put your starter in and give your team a better chance to win in the game where you have better odds.

I was expecting Dobes to play tonight but see the logic in putting Marty in.

I'd argue it's a big game for the team. Nevermind the Standings but from a maturity perspective, coming out hard and winning this game will show they have grown from last year and earlier this year where they would come out flat and didn't take weaken teams seriously. Just like the Sabres game, you're up against a team that's weak and feeling low, push them hard and get a lead and they may just fold.

Hughes should meet with Suzuki and tell him games like this will help him decide whether to sell or buy at the trade deadline. Suzuki can pass that along.

Hawks must be in bad shape, I've never heard of Connor Murphy before. 10 year vet with career high of 19 pts, thanks Wiki

I said it before in the coaching thread, after they fired Luke Richardson, and was scoffed at. That Chicago is a rudderless ship. (unlike the habs)

The hawks organization is abysmal, they lack any clear direction or coherent gameplan.

Atleast they got Bedard I guess.

Weird schedule. Going from Vegas to Chicago and back West to Colorado to finish their trip, tomorrow p.m. . Then back home and will pay on Monday again !!!! Just plain crazy.

Anyway. This s a « must » win vs the Hawks.

Nowhere land
Perhaps a #Free Pezz good luck charm. Just like Kate Smith singing God Bless America for the Flyers in the Seventies…

Any picture with one of my favorite guitar player Ed King I like it a lot. Ed King wrote Sweet Home Alabama riff and he was the guitarist of Strawberry Alarm Clock, a good early psychedelic rock group people should discover again. On this picture he looks like Michou Therrien twin brother, lol.
He was lucky he wasn't in the band when the plane crashed.

Incense and Peppermints is a classic of psychedelic rock.
