It's a good decision, a way to test the kid, he stood tall against the Panthers and showed no sign of being nervous and the team will probably give more of an effort with him back there which isn't a bad thing on a b2b game.
The drawback would be if Monty loses in Chicago putting even more pressure on the kid in Colorado.
I just thought the team would come out with an edge and more focused with Dobes starting.
Ultimately we need to beat Chicago no matter who starts.
MSL can't be second guessed for his recent decisions so we have to assume he has a good read on his club.

They're going to win if they continue with the same structure we have been seeing. The Hawks have holes everywhere and there will be plenty of scoring opportunities.

If they play differently like reverting back to old habits it will be a tossup but I believe that they will pull it off and who knows, Dobes might have a minor physical reason for needing another day.

Hoping Dach puts some money on the board. Everyone is saying this is a trap game. The boys need to focus.
I hope the fact that everyone knows it's a trap game and are expecting some type of let down that it'll fire up the boys tonight. I'd argue Habs have a lot to prove tonight too in the sense of showing they are matured to the point that they know they need to keep playing hard no matter the opponent.

Connor Bedard Jake Evans and old man Brendan Gallagher have the same amount of goals.

I was told, numerous times on this board,
The team that got Connor Bedard was going to win the next 6-8 Cups guaranteed.

Weird

Let's see McDavid get one first eh
I wish Bedard all the best but it's gonna be a few years.. long years..

Let's spank em, and do our best vs Colorado (who we played hard last year even)

Bedard is fine, his team is still trash. Hard to do it (virtually) alone.

Imagine how pumped up they’d still be to have Demidov on the way instead of Levshunov. I shudder to even think of that scenario. One team got incredibly unlucky and another got incredibly lucky.

I could add that this is Chicago, it’s not Nashville or Columbus, if that draft ends up the way I think it will, as fans of a big market they’ll not forget this. Bedard be damned.
