Player safety should fine the idiot linesman for that disgusting act they pulled on McQuaid. He put him in serious danger.

I was worried when I saw Spooner out there with a minute to go, but I'm glad he proved me wrong. Claude must've had a panic attack when he realized he had accidentally put him out there. Great game from Spooner and especially Krejci, who is rounding into a monster form once again. Rask was also key once again, keeping them in it when things looked dire.

He's got 18 points in his last 24 games after a miserable start.

Spooner a PPG his last 9 GP.

Regulation win is great. They really need to stop digging holes to start the games. Rask huge in the second to keep Buffalo at 2. Spooner excellent late. **** the zebras for all their ******** throughout the night.

Eichel real mad at the end.

Spooner has strung together some good games, good production

I like what I saw from Vatrano, still getting the rust off but he is gonna be good

Was gonna say I thought Blidh looked good too..but noticed he only played 5 minutes 27 seconds..wow...so little ice time, I could have swore I heard/saw him more...or maybe he just stuck out each time he was on the ice. Either way he looked effective in the limited ice time.

Carrier better keep his head up next game because our Carebear is coming back into the line up.

Jimmy Hugsalot Hayes

With Backes out...that means Clode is gonna run a third line of

Czarnik-Nash-Schaller...ugh

Blidh-Moore-Hayes

scary bottom 6

Spooner-Krejci-Vatrano hope they really click

The optimist in me says this could be the game that puts them on a roll.....the pessimist in me says I've thought that several times already this year.

Let's hope the optimist is right.

Spooner 3 goals 3 assists in 4 games... suddenly his season totals get respectable. Does this mean he's buying into playing wing? Do we decide to keep him and hope for more?

Or did he suddenly become tradable?

My worry remains... he's arbitration eligible and I see him getting at least 3 mill next year. He has to prove he accepts being a winger if he figures into our long term plans.

It might be a good idea to shop him this week

Oh boy. Spooner starts to break out and we want to trade him. Crazy talk.

Julien is finally learning that if you play Spooner with linemates who have skill, he will produce.

Great prediction by DKH.

man, I was disgusted after the first & starting to feel down on this team even before the game but that was a great team victory. This team seems a lot more resilient than in the last couple seasons. Hope they can string together a few more & hope Backes is ok.

In what certainly rates as perhaps their most crushing loss of the season, the Buffalo Sabres blew a two-goal lead and fell to the Boston Bruins, 4-2, Thursday night in KeyBank Center.

Ryan Spooner's wicked one-timer from the slot with 3:53 left snapped a tie and gave the Bruins the victory. It came on a strong cross-ice pass from David Krejci, and Spooner's shot beat a screened Robin Lehner high over the right shoulder. Spooner added the coup de gras on an empty-net goal with 51.5 seconds left.

The loss in the opener of a home-and-home series dropped Buffalo eight points behind third-place Boston, which currently owns the final playoff slot in the Atlantic Division.

The physical and often chippy affair in KeyBank Center was played before a sellout crowd of 19,070, the third of the season.

The surliness between the teams figures to grow as they met again Saturday afternoon at 1 in TD Garden. It is one of just two home-and-home sets the Sabres have this season; the other is against Columbus in March.

I also felt that here we go again down 2 goals early in the game tonight.
But the bruins need to hold onto Spooner. But the refs should be suspended after what happened with Quaider.

He has been playing with Krejci and Backes most of the season, nothing different tonight except he decided to show up. He has been pretty good the last few games but still, with Krejci and Backes. Kid has talent just has trouble stringing together a load of good games, hopefully, due to his past few he is on his way to doing so,

It's too bad refs are not held accountable in the NHL. That crap caused Quaider to need stitches. Could have been even worse. Refs were clueless the whole game and made poor decision after poor decision.

Finally? He's played with Krejci 90% of the year.

I looked, but couldn't find, a website that would tell me who Spoons has played with throughout the year, because while i know he has played with Krejci some this year, I think your assertion that it's been 90% is pretty inaccurate. I'd like to see the actual stats though.
