I gotta respectfully disagree. There has been plenty of games where Jake has carried that line. Especially as of late. Whereas Brad hasn't looked his best and that okay. I'm sure it has to do with his hips. He'll get back on track in no time. But there has been definitely games where without Jake, that top line looked not so great.

And that's okay to say. I have no doubt, especially now with the injury that Brad will step up. Because we're gonna need him to. Leaders lead. He's one of them.
Agreed. I think there have been a lot of games where Marchand looks like he's still trying to get up to speed. Which I would expect from an older player who's coming off major surgery

I just hope that with the reconstitution of the “perfection line” the Bruins don’t become too one dimensional and predictable again.

I am very intrigued to see how this plays out.
We're almost to the halfway point of the season, I think the team has enough confidence in themselves now that they won't be looking to 37 63 88 to save the day every time.

At least, I hope!

Monty likes to tinker with the lines as the game goes on, so I wouldn't put too much stock into who's on who's line in practice.

Marchand beats the forward up high causing the D man to leave Jake alone at the side of the crease and challenge #63. DeBrusk never has room to walk out front if Marchy doesn't draw two Pk'ers to him. 2nd on team in scoring, 21 assists, 19 PP points. Just wait til he catches up with everybody else.

The Perfection Line has already spent 77 mins TOI together 5v5 this season. Monty's gone to them for short stretches before, and then moved away again. So I don't think there's any real risk he'll get caught up on them. Putting those 3 back together makes sense in Jake's absence, at least initially - you've got one line that you know straight up will work well. See how it all looks tonight, then evaluate and adjust accordingly.

Also, it really bothers me that Copley's name is spelled wrong. Phoenix, not Pheonix.

It's one thing for parents to give their kids stupid "unique" names, but if you're going to do that, at least spell it right.

I’ve been running myself ragged since Thanksgiving. Not a chance I make it through this whole game. Maybe a period. I planned to have a nap for lunch, but things got crazy and i had to crush a tv dinner on the fly.

If this were a Friday or Saturday I'd try to pick up tickets on stubhub and go, but I'm not driving all the way to LA after work on a Thursday. And I probably can't get to the Ducks game Sunday because of family commitments, so I guess I'll miss the B's this year. Planning on going to a Ducks game later in the month when family are in town though.
