I think Shesterkin has been good for the vast majority of the season, and his numbers prove it.

I'm not sure if its a mental block, nerves, etc but he definitely has established a habit of letting in untimely / game tying / go ahead goals in the final minutes of games. This has been happening all season for him. Wonder why he struggles closing out a game.

Fatigue can lead to letting your guard down, zoning out for just a second. He can work on this part of the game. It’s all mental.

Igor becomes a scrub in the 3rd period. There's just no way around it. Right now you can't win with him playing close games.

I wouldnt say a scrub, but he definitely can't close it out. In a one goal game you can almost bank on him letting up a goal in the final minutes.
