And if they don't figure out that McKegg, Rooney and Reaves are each pretty awful at 5 X 5 and shouldn't be a 4th line, things will get worse. Even with Shesty back, cause Geo is not costing us yet.

McKegg being on this roster doesn’t get nearly enough hate here because Tinordi and Nemeth are clearly bigger problems.

also Strome is terrible and always has been. I’ve never seen somebody make more soft plays with the puck than this guy. 1 out of every 20 cute little plays he tries works and all is forgiven.

They get outplayed way more than not. I'm not going to pretend EdJo is right and say they've been outplayed in all but 3 games but they look like a f***ing #1 overall team tonight against a mediocre Kings team.

But they aren't and it's one game on the road. They have played the most road games in the NHL and have the most road wins in the NHL. They had a bad period and are going to have clunkers. It doesn't mean shit in the long run. Caps lost 7-3 to Boston at home tonight. Are they horrible too? Is there no hope for them either?
