I was stranded a week ago while seated in an airplane for hours with very cryptic information coming from the crew.... also with the baby in hand.

I'm done with flying for a long time, but cousin got it even worse stranded for close to 2 days trying to get out while they posted him in a crappy 3rd rate hotel.

Flight cancelled. I ponied up for first class - heavily discounted- and now we’re in the “pods” on the way home. Six or seven more hours in the lounge and then off to a five hour flight.

At least the beer is free now.

But… we have the first class pods. These things recline into a fully flat position. That combined with the 17 beers I’m going to drink should do the trick.
