How do the Rangers and Dolan with all their resources, not poach the scouts employed by other teams who draft well like Tampa? The same franchises seem to draft well consistently. Colorado, Philly, Tampa, Canes, Stars, etc. The scouting has Historically, has been god awful. It's insane they can never draft a legit franchise game breaking forward, in their near 100 year history.

I'm not gonna praise a franchise that just ran into their carrot of draft luck. That's two #1 OVR picks in a span of 3 years, don't forget that. They got the foolproof prospects the Rangers could never get for reasons I've yet to figure out.

You're right, the rangers didn't completely f*** up their own high picks or their own player development. It's def just luck for the devil's that things worked out. Also ranger fans never cheered when the devils too one of those 1oa picks thinking nyr was getting the better player.

I mean, genuinely, there isn’t a Rangers fan who should ever have the audacity to bad mouth the Devils again. Jack Hughes is more talented than any player we have ever had except for the final farts of Gretz and Mess, and the organization has outperformed us heavily in their short lifespan. They’ve now built an excellent roster again and will be a genuine contender for a while. It’s utterly embarrassing to realize that, generally speaking, Rangers fans actually think we are a superior organization. With less than half the history, resources, name brand attraction, etc that Mickey Mouse organization absolutely makes a mockery of us, and we deserve it.

f*** that franchise. I have no problem with any Rangers fan bad mouthing them. With the caveat that the Rangers are worse.
