1/3 buyout looks reasonableSharks should trade Ferraro. His value is only going to get worse from here on out!

I wonder if its who he's been playing with - none of Couture, Nieto, or Bonino are exactly big physical guys. Barabanov seems to work best with guys like Hertl, Meier, and Kane - strong, powerful forwards. He’s been really battling the puck a lot. He still makes some great plays, but his style doesn’t work as well if he is fighting the puck a lot.

If no one's willing to take him in a trade, you might as well just keep him because he helps the tank1/3 buyout looks reasonable

LMAOSigning Hertl was the most catastrophic decision in franchise history. This is what the team could have looked like every game this season with Bonino or Sturm as 2C.
It has locked us into 7th-10th worst team range for the foreseeable future instead of being the 2nd-5th worst team. A catastrophic hit to draft lottery odds for absolutely no benefit.LMAO
Very good point.
Nothing about this is at this point true.It has locked us into 7th-10th worst team range for the foreseeable future instead of being the 2nd-5th worst team. A catastrophic hit to draft lottery odds for absolutely no benefit.
The Sharks with Hertl/Meier, and Karlsson having the best offensive season by a defenseman in franchise history, are still 4th worst in points percentage in the entire league. It has locked us into 7th-10th worst team range for the foreseeable future instead of being the 2nd-5th worst team. Barabanov is best suited to playing for SKA St. Petersburg.I think this is why Barabanov is really best-suited to be a complementary top-six forward, rather than a third liner. How many third liners are big, strong forwards who can create time and space - guys with a similar playing style to Meier, Hertl, or Kane (though obviously not as good)? There can't be that many.
It's just that our top six depth is garbage, so either Barabanov or Labanc are going to be put in a difficult position.
Barabanov is on pace to score over 50 pointsBarabanov is best suited to playing for SKA St. Petersburg.
You only chirping when Barabanov is slumping seems to indicate a bias.Barabanov is best suited to playing for SKA St. Petersburg.
Not for long. Arizona, Philly, Vancouver and Montreal are all objectively worse than the Sharks and could easily drop below them. The Sharks with Hertl/Meier, and Karlsson having the best offensive season by a defenseman in franchise history, are still 4th worst in points percentage in the entire league.
You really have trouble understanding what objective actually means when you use it like this. Even stats and records showing better or worse in this context is subjective. Not for long. Arizona, Philly, Vancouver and Montreal are all objectively worse than the Sharks and could easily drop below them.
