At one point, even if JK happens to be a 60 pt centerman...Tkachuk will be that too. And the versatily to be C and winger. And you add the toughness aspect. I don't see the day where we win that pick. Even though I agreed with it at the time because of our lack of C's. Tkachuk was CLEARLY the 3rd BPA. I didn't see that.

Can't wait for Timmins to tell us in 5 years how he REALLY wanted Tkachuk but it wasn't his call...lol

We really weren't THAT bad that period. It was a disjointed and messy period but if you only read what people were posting here you'd think the sens had the puck for the whole 20 minutes

You can agree or not. He's going in.

Personally, I felt like he was overrated. He doesn't do a lot of things that elite blueliners do. But he's steady in his own end and racks up close to 20 goals per year. He's going to the HOF. No doubt about it.

Sadly I think you are right , he's a good player but in my opinion the default line to be admitted in the HoF has been lowered badly in those last years , + he's aging horribly.

KK was good this period. Got trapped in his zone once by the coverage and a dangerous pass in the high slot. 7 got a good goal. Playing centre is a different beast. Point-wise, not a big difference between them, and KK plays less + is a centre.

This comparison is juvenile. But hey! It's HFBoreds on a Saturday night where the team doesn't seem to care as much.

I am not going to debate which guy is better but if Tkachuk was a hab we would love him.
