For the most part they were top-6, especially 5v5. The 'they never got to play' narrative for Laf and KK is so overblown.

Absolutely the Devils are trying to push it without Rempe and Trouba, but from my POV it's good for this Rangers team. Would be way worse with Rempe on the lineup, where they would just dunk on us playing actual hockey. Now they are doing all sorts of other bullshit, and that's keeping us in the game somewhat. Also makes it more interesting to watch.

F*n Drury! Three years ago we were the youngest team in the league. Weren’t expected to make the playoffs and somehow we were getting in.
Instead of letting those young players get some playoff experience and building on that Drury decides to mortgage some of the future and every year since kept doing the same.
Now the team is a hollowed out shell with a terrible defensive group and one d chip left in the system.
