A game featuring two teams with a lot of young talent. Winnipeg middle of the pack in scoring (17th GF/PG) but they give it up too (t20th GA/PG).

CBJ not in first overall anymore nor first in the division either. The regression has already begun :sarcasm:

They play CBJ hockey for 60 minutes and they win this game. Not going to doubt them until they prove they can't get it done.

We want 14.

Hello, Jets fan chiming in. I feel the Jets' team D is being a bit unfairly portrayed here; yes, it was sloppy while they played most of the season when missing as many as seven forwards from the regular lineup, and also Myers on D, and Trouba and Enstrom on D as well (holdout, personal leave, respectively). They've lost a ton of man-games due injury (and have suffered the most in the league when their injuries are viewed by cap-hit). Yet, since the last of those missing forwards have returned to the lineup (Petan, Matthias, Armia) in the past two games, they've given up just one goal against in each of those games (vs. Vancouver & Chicago), and they haven't given up very many high quality scoring chances either.

They are a far better squad than their record may suggest. Yes, their injury-replacement AHL players played some weak D, but their NHL regulars have not.

Another Jets fan here. I love seeing the Jackets do so well! Columbus was my team until Jets 2.0 was a thing. Never missed a game for a 6 or 7 year stretch.

Maybe let us have this one and then you can feel free to rattle off another 13 in a row. Best of luck the rest of the way!

jets fan coming in peace! Looking forward to seeing your team play tonight, much buzz around the city for this game. Doesn't really matter who or what team your are if you play good hockey this city appreciates you. The anticipation for the game today is telling. May the best team win the day! Laine will play today no way will he let himself miss testing himself against The Bobsky.

It's an Indian/First Nation word for muddy water.

Has always seemed like a cool city to me that I'd like to check out some time.

When the schedule came out I looked into going to this game, but with the holidays so close I just couldn't swing it.

I read somewhere that Winnipeg is coldest city with a population greater than 600K in the world. But they average over 300 days of sun every year. Columbus is only around 180 per year. I don't really mind the cold so much, but I do mind the gloom and doom of our skies during the winter.

Winnipeg is known for its cold, but it has Also the biggest temperature swing between winter and summer. The summers here are quite warm and humid.

These guys make me nervous, they seem to have so much talent. The Jets are due for a breakout.

Winnipeg is one of the toughest places to play for visiting teams. Plus, we have that big matchup with Minnesota on Saturday looming and it'd be too perfect to go into that game on a 14 game win streak. One of us will trip in our last game before then and I think it's us.

I say we lose 3-2.*

*I've felt like we would lose almost every game in this streak so no sense in changing now.

I really like the Jets young lineup.. but I like our team better - 3-2 Jackets in OT Goals by Cam Calvert & Jones

I love Winnipeg fans. Come across as just nice, genuine, knowledgeable fans. Would like to see that team do well.

That being said let's get 14!

Winnipeg's definitely my #2 team. Hoping for a Jackets OT win here, though Bob and the D corps will be tested for sure.

Jets fan coming over to read the trash talk to get myself into war mode.

Apparently in Ohio trash talk is done somewhat differently than it's done up here in the 'Peg. :handclap: It's really making it hard to work up a good hateful lather going into tonight's game!

Here's hoping for a good game - Wheeler scores in OT so the Jackets can maintain the points streak.

13 in a row? Congrats! It must have been quite the ride.

They have shut down Ovechkin twice this year so no reason to believe they can't do the same to Laine. Suppose to be the same type player right?
