I’m pissed at the refs but Utah targeted Celebrini all game and the response from the team was not sufficient.

Kunin and Goodrow’s high salaries relative to their on-ice impacts are often said to be justified based on their ability to protect young players. But they did Jack shit about Celebrini getting bullied all game.

Oh no way, that was Chris Rooney. Easily the worst ref in the NHL. I remember attending Jumbo's 1st game back in Boston and Rooney threw him out for hitting Hal Gill shoulder to shoulder. It just happened to be that Gill dislocated his shoulder, but it wasn't even remotely a penalty. I honestly don't understand what kind of performance reviews they have for professional umpires and refs. Some of the guys have permanent reputations as being absolute dog shit, and they don't get any better over time.

They need more strenuous IQ testing on NHL refs. Subjectivity in calls is never good when the person is a certifiable moron.
