Hay River is so far North that Polar Bears are common or use to be untill Climate change wrecked havoc on their way of Life
All that a they had ONE tip. YikesThis 6 on 5 is just brutal. Constant cycling with the only seeming intent of "creating some sort of shot from the point"
Didn’t used to be…Oleksiak just standing there next to Grieg, I swear he's the softest 6'7" hockey player I think I've ever seen.
I know someone has said that ECH claims the players for whatever reason don't execute the "practice" system come game time, but a lot of this is just coaching. Full stop. They have zero ideas with a man advantage. Try to find a lane to put a shot from the point on goal, may or may not have someone in front trying to screen. Rinse and repeat.
Looks like the dismal showing continued unabated into the third. That second period was one of the worst I've seen the Kraken play. They collectively looked like a team of fifth graders who panicked and forgot how to play the game. I agree that this is more than a coaching problem--it is certainly another indicator that change in personnel on the ice needs to happen.
Changes need to be made. Front office? coaching? Both? I’m don’t care.
The PP, pass pass pass pass pass pass other team intercepts and sends the puck down the ice is beyond old, and then rinse and repeat.
SHOOT the effing PUCK! Do not care if you don’t have a wide open look. If one of their players wants to get in the way of a 90mph missle, so be it, enjoy the rest of the game in the locker room nursing that injury.
There is never a sense of urgency with Disco Dan or Hackstall when he was coaching… just keep on doing the same thing and expect different results.
Time for changes.
Sure you can, just look at the 2018-19 Coyotes. Top scorers with less than 50 points. That team won and had the highest point total of any Coyotes team since the WCF team by giving 120% all game, outworking opponents, getting to pucks before the enemy, restricting chances and having a good enough goalie to back them up. That team had f***ing negative offensive talent and still set a near record in the modern era for SHG, mostly achieved by Michael f***ing Grabner and Brad Richardson. They also had the most goals of any Coyotes team prior to Cooley and Guenther showing up and the playoff teams of the 2010s. Believe that was also the year they had the most one goal games of any team in the NHL, but I could be wrong about that.BTW: I'm sick and tired of all that "play a full 60 minutes, work hard" crap that is always being brought up.
You can't just outhustle your opponents for 82 games.
If I'm Francis right now I'm on the phone to the Buffalo Sabres. Young talent on a completely disfunctional team there has to be somebody decent they could add to the offensive mix here.
