Rough night for Rasmus in red. Stood to the side instead of picking up Geekie on his goal, slid the puck away from goalie to put it right on McLaughlin's stick on his and looked like I used to playing D in pond hockey, stand still and extend the stick in hopes to break up the play on Pasta's. Not just our D men who have a bad day some nights. Oh well, tis' the season for giving and two points in the stocking last night for our good little B's. Thank You, Rasmus the Red Light D man.

Bruins got 2 pts & early on I had some doubts about it.Few thoughts watching live.
(McAvoy) - started slow but finished strong.Has to shoot between hashmarks on pp though .
(Swayman) -was steady thought the goals were not on him.
(Frederic) -If teams want him do it.
(Pastrnak) -very dangerous player,He must make other teams fans nervous.
(Lohrei )- he has talent but makes some plays that scare me.Couple times he passed on easy play off glass to try passes that could catch own player off guard .Thankfully it nevered.
(Lindholm) He was solid tonite for sure.56% in dot not bad.
(Brasseau) I can see why Leafs gave up on him watching him skate but he gives you what he has.
( McLaughlin) only 9 mins of ice time but scored a big goal with effort .Hats off to him.
( Coyle) Worked hard and his size is hard to deal with when he does. Won only faceoff he took all nite.
I am so glad you got to see a good one @22Brad Park

You do see things live that you do not see on TV.

i technically always planned to turn it off given it was a late game and I get up at 6am, but I did stop trying to even watch after they went down 2-0. Had it been a 7 o'clock game, I might have turned it off either way after giving up that third goal - so kudos to the boys for battling back and seizing victory from the jaws of defeat. From the highlights it looks like they basically took the game over and never looked back in the third.

One thing I will say about this team, despite needing more offensive pop, they're getting more greasy goals and they're a lot tougher than last year's team. There's a battle and grit factor they're starting ot regain and Im not just referring to come back wins, it's more in the way they try to play and try to score goals

Despite the OT winner from Pasta ... he still is committing wayyyyyyy too many turnovers

For the love of all that is good, please keep the Marchand, Lindholm, Coyle line together. THAT is what offensive zone time is supposed to look like! They were dangerous every time they touched the ice together

Very strong game from the Bruins thought Coyle all though not on the score sheet had a hell of a game as did Zadorov and Lindholm against their former mate., Pasta was buzzing all game, but what I liked the most was this teams body language, they never looked defeated or discouraged. I really believe they've turned the corner.

On another note I think Brazeau wasn't at his best and obviously neither did Sacco as he dropped down to the 4th line. I wouldn't mind seeing Wahlstrom slot in there against the Oil.

Finally a very good EL performance.
One poster wrote EL was going to have a great game...... playing in Calgary.

Bruins won 2 in a row on the road. .500 right now. Maybe the Sacco effect ain't all gone
Like whai I see since he took the team.
If the players all buy the system and build chemistry, I do think Boston can surprise.
Last night
COME BACK
Road win in a barn hard to play

Most goal scorers turn over the puck more because they HAVE the puck more.

Pasta is fine!

CALGARY, Alberta — David Pastrnak was exhausted. Instead of nodding off, he put the Calgary Flames to bed.

The Bruins winger wanted to make a change after a lengthy overtime shift, but rest wasn’t in the cards.

A game-winning snipe was.

Pastrnak struck with 38 seconds left in overtime to cap a furious third-period comeback as the Bruins topped the Flames, 4-3, Tuesday night at the suddenly subdued Scotiabank Saddledome.

“Yeah, it was kind of funny. We were just talking about it with [Charlie McAvoy]. We both were out there long, and I was yelling at him to keep [the puck], so I can change, and he just dropped it to me,” said Pastrnak. “He said, ‘You keep it,’ and he changed, so that’s kind of funny.”

Pastrnak didn’t keep it for long. He chugged it over the blue line and zapped a wrister past Dustin Wolf for his 12th of the season.

“Just give the puck to 88 or 63 and then pray,” said Nikita Zadorov, describing the feeling on the bench in overtime. “So that’s the emotion. I mean they are our best players. So put it in their hands, they’re going to make it happen.

“Pasta, I think he had a three-minute shift, he was barely skating, and he still got the goal there. So, I think it shows you how high his skill set is and how great a player he is in this league for sure.”

Boston improved to 17-13-3 and 2-2 on this five-game Western swing.

The Bruins trailed, 3-1, entering the third but came out storming, scoring twice in the first seven minutes to tie things.

First it was Morgan Geekie snapping home a rebound of an Andrew Peeke shot in the slot at 4:14.

Just more than two minutes later, Marc McLaughlin knotted it. It was a textbook fourth-line goal, as McLaughlin forced a turnover in the slot and then buried his shot as he crashed Wolf’s den.

“[Elias Lindholm] made the play originally; he takes a hit to make a play,” said coach Joe Sacco. “Marchy stays on the puck and then Marc just crashes the net there and stays with a good second effort.

Zadorov took a pass from McAvoy just 30 seconds in and then took a bunch of, well, stuff from the C of Red. The Flames faithful let their former favorite defenseman have it with a cascade of boos from every corner of the old barn.

Did Zadorov hear them? By the sly smirk on the big Bruin’s face, he sure did. He was kind of expecting it as he had heard the catcalls last season when he was in a Canucks sweater.

“Oh yeah [I was smiling],” he said. “I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was only one shift. So last year they booed every shift.”

The greeting was a bit different for Elias Lindholm, who was back in the ‘Dome for the first time since he, too, was shipped to Vancouver last season.

The Flames feted Lindholm with a nifty video tribute of some of his more memorable moments in red, including several highlight connections with the late, great Johnny Gaudreau.

Boston cut the deficit in half when it benefitted from a balky bounce off a Flame skate at the blue line. Lindholm grabbed it and raced in on Wolf, slipping a knuckler under the goalie’s right armpit for his fourth of the season at 6:31.

“Very special for him,” said Pastrnak. “He spent a lot of years here. You could kind of say he grew up here. So, that was special.”

You are so right about Coyle, and I would put Zacha in that same category, he is such a solid player, and please leave him and Pasta, alone.

Most goal scorers turn over the puck more because they HAVE the puck more.

Pasta is fine!
Nice to hear from someone who knows Pastas game.

He’s been frustrating to watch this season but Pasta is clutch when we really need him. Hopefully he builds off off an excellent OT going forward.

As I said in the GDT, he’s maddening to watch but I love you Pasta!
Perfect word, maddening! They just work so hard to beat themselves!

Actually dropped him to the third line with Frederic and Kastelic. Moved Coyle up to RW with Marchand and Lindholm.

Some players who haven't seen much ice time:
Parker Wotherspoon- Jordan Oesterle has seemed to take this spot
Tyler Johnson- likely no spot for him- too small and slow
Who is next to sit?- Brazeau? Whalstrom will be given an opportunity

The Quiet Corner
Glad they came back for the win.

Glad Lindholm had such a good game now let's see him play consistently like that.

On to Edmonton...

From 3-4 games ago having possibly having the worst 3rd periods ever to Saturday and last night having one of best....what a turn around!!!

About 1/2 way through the 2nd they just got better at everything to the point of dominating the Flames in the 3rd.

Soooooo..... Sway or Korpi? Which one vs the Oil?
