Our normal is scoring lots of goals… or should be. I’ll take Florida in a slump over Florida on a roll any day of the week.

That being said I could totally see what you are saying happening.
of course, things have been going to well lately, so im just ready for the other shoe to drop.

id love to smash the panthers, but im not so cocky to think that its likely tonight.

Panthers have been shut out 2 games in a row; they are going to be hungry. We need to be ready and play exactly like we have been.

Game is on Prime? Well should start around 7 then.
830 EST start time for the broadcast according the NHL.com, puck drop likely 9 EST. theres another game at 1030 i dont know its amazon broadcast as well so hopefully it is so we get a 9EST puck drop and not 930

floodgates usually open after a team gets shutout, doubly so after two. They may be struggling to score the last two games, that wont last forever. We've scored a lot lately too, this game is ripe for a regression to mean for both teams.
Haven't we been shutout twice in a row in games on Prime so far this season?

a team struggling a little lately who hasn’t scored in 2 games and only 5 goals in 4 games vs a team on fire. Edm could come out lackadaisical and be down 3-0 quickly if they aren’t ready or if skinner decides after a handful of good games wants to go back to leaky skinner.

Not watching this. Gonna be 2 hours of Florida cup win, rather not waste my time. Oilers should have gotten the job done.

Rarely do games in December matter all that much but this one might. About a year ago it was interesting to see a game between Florida and the Knights. The Panthers smashed the defending SC champs and were better than them all day. Just a feel of the game that if you replayed it 10X Panthers would win 9. In the game you could see the Knights were giving it the SC try but just couldn't measure. Florida took the games like that as revenge I suppose, and didn't look back. Never really felt that Vegas had that bite since. Sometimes you can wreck a team a bit, kind of dethrone their mojo, even in December.

NHL scheduling has sure lined up some Hockey game presents on the table. Our last several games very intriguing. The whole 5 game set Oilers are on is must view television. Sucks so hard this game is on Prime. What a disgrace. Will have to stream on some wanky freezing feed.

Lets see the Oilers maul the Panthers and destroy Amazon Prime.

Just sign up for a free trial of Amazon prime, cancel it immediately, and you get one month free of Prime..

I've heard that cancelling Amazon is insufferable experience and I just had that with cancelling a plan with another provider. 20 calls, various attempts to cancel, they just kept billing and then wanting to charge "late fees" for something I'd been trying to cancel, and hadn't been using for 10mths. It was a cellphone that was no longer working and we no longer wanted to deal with the same company. I'm leery of "free" promotions. The hook is always there somewhere.

This is increasingly what these businesses do. Make it so hard to cancel that you just get tempted to eat the expense and say f*** it, and continue getting billed, even for something you're not using. I wouldn't be using Amazon at all.

well true, ive had amazon prime since i was introduced in canada. I can't imagine life without, its worth it for music and Tv alone. I can see why people dont want to pay extra for some hockey games who dont use Amazon prime. Fracturing rights to different streaming services is stupid.

Well he did have better stats than $10M Bob in a head to head 7 Game Playoff Series. .909 vs. .899
and yet people say Bob won the cup for the panthers and Skinner lost it for the Oilers...

I think people should have to watch other teams play more games before they are allowed to shit on players. They see 82 games of Oilers hockey and see all our warts and only see a few games of other teams and dont see the warts. There is no perfect hockey player and there is no team that doesnt have breakdowns.

I only watched one of the two games on Prime (the one against NJ), but from what I can remember the Prime broadcast was so much better than SN.

SN just cuts randomly in the middle of play to commercial, rarely starts plays at the faceoff anymore, and doesn't even consistently show penalties. Not to mention the BS blackouts, app freezes and glitches, among a whole host of other issues.

We beat Minny and Adin Hill, two supposed schedule losses.

Anything is possible.
