Laval Rocket: Game #30 vs. Syracuse Crunch (Laval Wins 4-1)

Sean Farrell in AHL, best decision ever. He don't have the pressure right now, but the potential and talent are really there. Great production aswell!

Same thing with Logan Mailloux, he produce really well. This D will be something at NHL level after his development. I really like comparing him to PK Subban and he have same stats at same age. They are both unique offensive talent with not the best defensive IQ, but can work well with a good partner and development.

I care for physical play but even if you dont, these two guys were like the Rockets best forwards yesterday. They did really good.

Me not like physical play? You don't know me then. But physical play doesn't disappear with their absence. They were good yesterday. But not their best forwards. You were watching the wrong things if you think they were their best forwards. Too much is being made by their absence here. Neither their physicality nor their hockey play is missed today.

Then again, Im happy Mysak is playing. Generally I think the Rockets have too many tweeners like Condotta, Bourque, Simoneau, Maillet and Gignac. Depth is good but without top end its meh.

You talk about tweeners but are out here wondering why two minor league lifers aren't in the line-up. I'm confused. And the guys you mentioned, aside from Maillet, can all play physical and do what Yaremko and McKay can do.

Still mad they let Richard go.

Agree about Richard. I wish they kept him and Belzile rather than bring in Maillet.

I feel like with the influx of rookies, you'd ensure to have a leader like Belzile and an offensive talent like Richard to help with the kids.

Maillet reminds me of Phil Varone, a guy with experience that is underwhelming.

if Arbs gets another point, it will be criminal to leave him down there with the lunkheads we have patrolling the blueline in Montreal.

Officials are worthless morons.

Who give a damn how many points he gets. His defensive play is what matters.

This is a completely different team from the one we watched earlier this season.

Yup. Some of their prospects are more used to the pro game. So they are playing better. Dobes is steadier in his net than he was at the start of the year. And some guys who were out injured long term are back (Farrell, Heineman, Andersson, and Bourque).

They also stick up for each other and have a snark they didn't have back then. Now loose the cheap penalties and things are looking much better.

Not about the points. He’s potentially a core member of our D going forward. He’s gotta iron out the kinks in his D play and Laval is the best place to do it.
I didn't like a couple of his soft backhand passes but other than that he did pretty well at keeping everything in front of him.
