That is it in black and white folks. That line there is playing inspired motivated hockey under a 2nd year ex college coach that out performed us last year in the stretch. Where did Hakstol come from, I thought there was no coaches anywhere in the whole world and we have to stick with the 2011 template forever, follow the system. It is starting to sound like the Force, trust the force, let the system flow thru you.

Must be difficult to have to play scrubs like Bergeron, Rask, Marchand, Pastrnak, Krech, Backes, Chara how can anyone expect to win with those guys. Eriksson is missing on the powerplay and Krechs line and has not been replaced by the 8 million dollar player who will be 33 this season.

Hahaha...another one of my favorite ridiculous lines from the fanboys. "But, but, but who is available?!?!?! There's no one out there". Like what the ****? Has there been a spell of delusion cast over these people? There are...no qualified hockey coaches available?!?!?! I don't even understand where that train of thought can possibly come from. It's completely preposterous.

Finally some common sense. Now if he finally puts Pasta/Marchand on the 1st PP unit and sits one of McQuaid/K Miller we might actually give ourselves a chance to win some games.

Analysis:
"Why are you using so much common sense here?"

I would've went really crazy

Heinen - Krejci - Bergeron
Marchand - Spooner - Pastrnak
Schaller - Backes - Czarnik
Nash - Moore - Acciari

Get Spooner between two guys who are going to produce pretty much no matter what. Build his value. Let that line loose offensively. Move Bergeron to wing to help him get his **** together, take the load off him a little. Backes should be playing center. Give the team an actual third line presence. Schaller and Czarnik make an interesting dichotomy.

This is not crazy at all, this is what you call mixing up the lines. Not switching 2 guys from 2 lines.

this could wind up being an immensely difficult week, CJ`s swan song? Hope/wish not, just can`t see this team beating anyone this week. Feeling, as you can tell, pessimistic

Your not alone, I"m feeling an 0-3 this week with this schedule unfortunately. We may really see things shaken up if this happens, hopefully for the long term good.

Marchand is a shooter.
Bergeron is a scoring C.
Party is the best scoring winger in the league.

There is only one puck.

Separating this three is a wrong decision to you? This is a very good one to me. Spread the goal scorers around. Might help Bergy and Krejci at the same time. We'll see...

You're putting him with a scrub and a "when he feels like playing hard" centerman who is awful vs Montreal.

The goal is making the roster overall more effective.

Don't get me wrong. I want Pastrnak to put up 50. But if it means that his line is the only threatening one out of four, we're not winning anything as a team.

Might be catching Montreal at a good time. Montreal is hurting with injuries to some guys up front. Hopefully our boys can take advantage of that. Would do wonders for their confidence.

The goal of setting lines isn't to put Pastrnak in the best situation for him. He should be able to carry a line. We need more than one good line.

My point is you are turning a team with one scoring line into a team with none IMO. I think Pasta gets way more space playing with 63 and 37.

Didn't they just score 10 goals 48 hours ago?

I want Colin Miller in there tonight. Let him do what Boychuk did. Get him on the pp and let him shoot that cannon he has.

Has there been even a slight rumor Julien is in the hot seat? I haven't heard anything

Not that I've heard either- I think it is just wishful thinking on this board, though you have to think that if the team falls out of the playoff places and doesn't bounce straight back, he'll be in jeopardy.
