Swe commentators: Sweden is dominating the game, puck possesion, shots etc. Agree/disagree?

Bit surprised they said nothing of the goaltending. Sweden also needs to play better in front of their own net -- both goals came from within 3 meters from the crease.

Other than that, couldn't agree more.

I get triggered when people refer to that as "a Svechnikov style goal". Yes, he was the first to pull it off in the NHL. Doesn't mean it wasn't done before (in a bigger game in fact).

Hoglander did it in the SHL earlier this year and it was the nicest I’ve seen

Positives in Finland's game
- 2 goals
- very good goalie
- very good penalty killing.

Negatives in Finland's game
- Bad powerplay ( only 1 goal )
- 5 Idiotic penalties.

If we wanna win this game we can't take more penalties anymore.
Fight to win Finland AND NO PENALTIES anymore please.

OT. Its nice to see other than -nen and -la/-lä Finnish players.

Erholtz, Oden, Maccelli, Thomsen are welcomed change to the established pattern. Can't recall have there ever been more "cosmopolitan" variety of surnames in any Team Finland's roster. Even clearly Finnish surnames contain some relative rarities, such like Kupari, Utunen, and Killinen, while Scandinavian/Swedish surnames are abnormally scarce/lacking in this roster.

Just checking in... is there a streak on the line here? Is it possible Finland would be the one to end Sweden's streak?

Finnish media and gm/nhl lead scout Holtari for example praised how elegant it really was, really rare to see that kind of performance, smooth and everything. Did not matter at all that it was the svede or opponent to do it.

I don't know what a hell Thomson was thinking
when he took that idiotic penalty 3 minutes before intermission.
If that was Thomson's way to show captain's example for his team it was really stupid example.

Finland has took so many idiotic penalties in this game we truly are lucky to have 1-2 lead after 2 periods.
It's not a secret those idiotic penalties will cost game / games sooner or later.

Add Lambert on that list.

As a Swede it's worrying to see that it needs that type of goal to score on Finland. Can somebody punch some holes in him?

Rasmus Sandin’s giveaway and then “defensive attempt” on Finland’s 2-1 goal was a hilarious sequence.

Kupari has been disturbingly invisible tonight, other than the missed chance he had earlier...

Just put a man in front of him and shoot. Easy. I have to say both teams need to improve their PPs.

Söderström is great with the long breakout pass

Edit: Södergren is wrong. He had no passing options.

Killinen is good at drawing penalties, I will give him that. I just wish he wasn't in the top line.

Annunen stops another breakaway.
