The Blues started to outplay them at the end of the 1st. Hope it carries over.

Crawford's 28 years old. There's very little chance that he's going to take a big step developmentally moving forward. That leaves Chicago with easily the worst goaltending among the contenders in the West, IMO.

The other teams they are being stacked up against are too complete for Chicago to be considered the #1 at this point.

The Hawks bottom six is weak in terms of secondary scoring. Overall, their depth makes them vulnerable in a short season when they have to play 12 back-to-backs. Blues are a better team, overall. Maybe not tonight, but by season's end.

This post reminds me of Canadian fans after the WJC. The Blues are losing because they're not playing well AND Chicago is taking advantage. The talent on the Blackhawks is crazy and the Blues' defense is not respecting it.

Edit: And I don't think I'm liking this new, aggressive Pietrangelo.
