He skates really well and can handle the puck decently however he is very, very soft. He needs to add muscle and strength BAD. If he can do that, he will be a solid defender.

Probably likes them starting the zone and having Matthews/Nylander on the ice for zone entries if the puck gets cleared. Kinda makes sense tbh

Rielly moves the puck and passes it way better than Zaitsev and it's not even close. Zaitsev is not able to make the same skilled passes.

For as much praise as Forsberg's getting, he's made saves with his pad down low mostly on rebounds and the rest have just been positional saves. He hasn't had to move laterally very quick or deal with a tonne of shots in the corners yet.

Babs weakness is line-up choices and ice-time distribution. It always has and probably always will be, Shanahan or whoever the hell is in charge needs to load up a good enough prospect pool for it to not matter that much with little drop-off between a 2nd and 4th liner in the lineup.

People need to realize there's more than having a good shot. Rielly is our best defensive dmen and our best transition defenseman. He also opens up space on the powerplau a lot with good movement and decisions.

Rielly is having a good game and still getting shit on by half our fanbase.

Don't agree. Babcock always gets critique for his line-up choices, but his line-ups tend to be very effective.

Need to keep in mind as well that this is his 2nd NHL game, and including preseason... maybe his 4th (?) total on the smaller ice.
