No, Tyson, that wasn't a great defensive play by Tikhonov ... you don't let an opponent drive your net with his stick on the ice while you kinda hook him. That's how deflections and tip-ins are scored.

It's a Germanic name; if 'Murcans put umlauts on letters then his name would be spelled Kümper. I'd pronounce it just like a ü in German to be proper.

Of course, American commentators are going to butcher it either way.
