This is a Habs win.

The Pens checked out in the bubble playoffs and the Habs won. They lost every game to the Habs last year when we were trying to tank for Bedard. And they failed us when they shat the bed and let Florida get into the playoffs and ruined that pick for us.

On the other hand... if Pittsburgh gets in last year instead of Florida, there's a good chance Boston wins the 1st round. I realize Boston losing had no direct impact on us, but man did it feel good!

Right now they should play Monty 2 consecutive games while letting the other goalies play one each. Monty needs more games.

My head was rooting for Boston, but when Florida won I jumped up and cheered. I know it's not logical, but "F*** the Bruins" beats "Better draft pick" every time.

I honestly don't have much appetite watching games anymore. Beside the fact that team is bad, it is also so f***ing boring. And so soft that it's almost embarrassing. I'll watch the first and then I'll see what kind of vibe I get. The lack of any kind of system and organization on either attack or especially defense gets harder and harder to stomach.

Can we safely say that you’re downgrading your prognostications to “I don’t have a good feeling about this season” rather than just “this one”?

I dunno man… last time somebody was that certain of the outcome with Pittsburgh, not only did we win but in the grand scheme of things, the missing 2 points for them allowed the Panthers into the playoffs.

Rarely do you see so many veteran forwards being so ineffective.
It's uncanny how this organization has continuously failed to either draft or trade for a star offensive player.
It's becoming harder and harder to tune in and watch this team.

Yeah, agreed. I can take a season of losing if we just went barnyard hockey and have a bunch of 6-5 games. Sure, our defensive metrics will suck and our goalie tandem will probably want to break their sticks on our players but at least it’ll be fun.
