MYFF! I would like to start a new acronym. Move Your F'n Feet. MYFF!

That's all I have to say about this first period. Tentative crap all over the ice. Fragile mental period. Whole team was garbage but Kakko, Laffy, Kreider and Hajek were the biggest culprits. MYFF, fellas, MYFF.

Bad period and not trying to single anyone out, and I'm not looking at fancy stats, but the eye test says Jimmy Vesey absolutely stunk that period.

You know you've implemented a successful system when you can plug in jobbers and the average joe viewer wouldn't bat an eye.

Also...

Sam: "Joe do you think the altitude is a factor?"

Well forget Colorado's injury depleted team guys, they don't have a chance against the altitude.

All Cup winning teams are good at interfering so much that it just doesn't get called.

It's a prerequisite skill.
It’s basically something all good teams do. They interfere just enough with contact and positioning to slow you down but they do it slightly at first so the refs don’t call it and they do it so often that the ref can’t call it based on the standard he’s set up. Just enough to not get called but enough that it slows down the opponent. It’s infuriating to watch but you can’t argue how effective it is.

Can we even get to that head case Georgiev to score on him? He's leaky and a small goalie let's light him up!! But no, we can't even generate good shots. Boring ass period and we got wooped

Passed up too many shots, need to stand them up more defending the blue line.much too passive defending them coming into our zone

It would help if the entire team skated and played with speed. Look at the Avs they have players flying in the neutral zone and move the puck swiftly in their d zone. This concept is far too advanced for the Rangers.

You can't tell me our lack of skilled play is a talent problem after watching Colorado play fast with Rantanen and their AHL team.
its the coaching. always has been. that combined with the slow skating and milquestoast personalities we have and its not surprising we play a boring brand of losing hockey

That explains why this team doesn't do it

so much thinking, so little skating. pretty poor stuff. I should get super negative right now cause whenever I get over-dramatic about their crappy play they turn it around. It's too exhausting though, I'm just trying to enjoy watching a dumb hockey game.

Islanders/Devils have an agreement. Whoever wins would hurt the Rangers more, they let them win. I'm convinced.
