Don't look now but the CBJ penalty kill is now FOURTH in the league. Now just shy of the elusive PP+PK > 100% mark.

(PK) 86.5% + (PP) 13.4% = 99.9%

That we are still below 100 with a PK as good as our's says a lot about our PP. We need Wiz, badly.

Got myself a nice memento at the game tonight. Great cause, great game. Whatever happens in the future, tonight was sort of unforgettable.

Just got back from the game and a party.

Bob was obviously great. Don't think I need to explain much more, you all watched the game.

I noticed Vinny Prospal really has a grip on this team. There was an offensive zone draw and before it was dropped he called a huddle and set up a play with Brassard and Letestu.

JJ played really really good. As did Moore save one mistake he made.

Johansen struggled this game. As did Atkinson.

Overall solid defensive game by both teams, but Bobrovsky won them the game. Phoenix skated circles around us in the 3rd.

11-19-13 probably shouldn't be a line.

And I hope Foligno-Joey-Umby gets put back together. They are great once they get the cycle going. True, the well has run dry in the last few games but I blame it on our breakouts, I don't think our forwards can do much if they barely have possession.

Was Johansen benched? Or just moved to the other line? Did he make some mistakes that I missed?

Benched for some of the 2nd and moved down the bench with Atkinson in the 3rd. Only Gillies and Boll played less than Cam and Joey.

Another low scoring game, though I didn't think it was that boring. D does great job and Bob is awesome as of late.

Win is a win.

Atkinson is missing that extra kick, must be that ankle.. RyJo needs to spark it more or something.

Wow, that was a game where both teams did a great job of keeping the other to the outside most of the night. Sure, the CBJ are scoring inept, but give the Yotes some credit for doing a good defensive job on us.

Phoenix has nothing to hang their heads about since, I believe, they took 5 of a possible 6 points from us this season. That made it nice that we got the second point last night. Salvaged something for us in the series.

Now that we are moving to the East, Phoenix and St. Louis will be my West teams to watch.

You know who's been secretly awful this season, injured or not? Atkinson.

Maybe it's better for his future and the team's play if he shuts it down for a while/the rest of the season.

He was doing well before the ankle sprain. Similar to what Calvert went through.

Someone on this thread, or another lamented the fact that the CBJ only drew a little north of 14,000 for this Saturday game.

Lest we not forget, they were competing with OSU in the Big 10 basketball tourney, the Crew, the Bobcats in the MAC B-ball tourney and, OSU home hockey play-off game.

The Jackets, despite this streak, still aren't there yet, and won't be until they can prove this streak is no fluke.

Yeah, and look what happened to him. He got traded! :sarcasm:

Haha, look out Cam! :sarcasm:

Anyone see how Nash has been doing in this 1-4 Ranger swoon? I'm to lazy right now to go look. He was all the rage when he was on one of his hot streaks. How many times did we see that only to have him follow it up with a 9 game pointless streak?

No ill will toward Rick intended here, but that was his M.O. while here.

Those high ankle sprains are bad. Yes a guy typically comes back after 3-4 weeks but the ankle usually isn't "right" until you can rest it for much longer. You see the same things in other sports (notably football) where a high ankle sprain means the guy won't be gone long, but he likley won't be the same until the next season.

Maybe not a bad idea about Cam (shutting him down) though.

Enter city here

Some video my wife took during last night's Tunnel of Pride. I was holding a baby who did not sleep the entire drive down, and then promptly fell asleep 10 minutes before the players walked out. He did wake up and was clapping along as the player went by.

I actually watched the NYR-PIT game on the NHL network yesterday afternoon. I recall a specific moment where the announcers were basically railing on Rick Nash for taking a stupid tripping penalty behind the play as retaliation for something. Granted, I think the announcers were from the Pittsburgh feed but I do think it shows some of the dysfunction going on with the NYR right now. Another point from that game that was pointed out was that Nash broke a stick and he went to the bench and nobody gave him a stick to help him continue the play. Either nobody was paying attention to the game or he got a subconscious cold shoulder for some reason. Team chemistry really seems to be an issue for the NYR right now.

He's playing at 85% of his abilty due to the high ankle sprain... I think he should take the time off to heal completely.. There are other players that can play 100% in his spot, even if that replacement is not as good as a healthly Cam they will be playing at 100%.. I'd like to see that Boone Jenner kid...

Yea, me too. I bet Boone would fit right in with this group.
