Probably more then just a bad game, from the drop of the puck the bolts imposed their will on the sharks and set the pace of the game, and the sharks responded poorly both as players and coaches. It will be interesting to see how the panthers play on Saturday.

To be fair the talent/experience gap was on full display as well

It’s the first dog in well over a month. Due to happen. The key is the bounce back. 1-1 in was and tbl is pretty solid. Losing 8-1 and 2-1 are the same thing in the standings.

The next game will tell a lot about this team. They got the SC champs, in their barn. A good game and this team is real another 8-1, and it’s far more iffy.

This game came two days after the Sharks beat the #1 team in the East in their own barn against a team:

1.) On 4 full days rest between games;

2.) Coming off a bit of a losing spell (read: really fired up to get this one); and

3.) TBL's 34th birthday, which they were celebrating tonight. (read: really fired up to get this one)

A trap game if there was one for any NHL team, let alone this young Sharks squad.

I mean Vegas got blown out 6-0 on home ice to a vastly inferior Utah team just this week.

Totally OT but damn those jerseys were bland and terrible, especially in comparison to our current set.

On topic, not surprised. These are bound to happen and this team is a bottom feeder still. Benching Celebrini ought to fire him up and bring motivation, no doubt.

Honestly think it was more of giving Mack a break than benching him. He’s been playing a ton of minutes.

I'm hoping this was the case. After the hit scare on Tuesday and being in a blow out, there was no reason to risk Celebrini any injury. I hope he isn't injured and will be able to play tomorrow.

I think the Sharks should reduce Celebrini's minutes. He is still basically a child. If he gets fatigued he would be more likely to get injured.
