I understand having forward support in our own zone when the puck is baseline. But too often all 3 forwards are below the faceoff circles and it just invites a high volume of point shots and redirection.

Refs laid an egg that period on both the grund and celly calls, espcially the first that negated a breakaway. Still, not a bad period. Smith had a grade A look from the slot and sturm/dyl celar 2 on 1. Hell, even the first shift was strong.

The penatlies gave WSH an edge, but not by that much. Sharks also had some good puck movement.

This team is playing well.

p.s.: Gieorgiev laid another egg. Here's hoping Wedgewood follows suit. A few more games like this for blackwood and a few more eggs laid by COL goaltending, and those avs will no choice but to come o' knokin'. Grier can fleece 'em with all the leverage, patience, and chips. The avs season is slowly slipping due to the goalie issues. No way they can allow that to continue much longer.

Kostin is showing his ability. Hopefully it results in goals......
yes, although he made a very weak play at the point that nearly led to a goal against. he has to be better on the wing defensively in beating opposition D and winning those point/board battles. its the details like those that keep him from moving up the lineup.

Yeah he should have changed, the bench was right there, frustrating

Drew actually loves Smith. Maybe he heard the complaints and realized he needs to not be so tough on him on broadcasts. (I actually noticed this on Saturday, too--just not the outright proclamation of affection for Kibble.)
