Refs laid an egg that period on both the grund and celly calls, espcially the first that negated a breakaway. Still, not a bad period. Smith had a grade A look from the slot and sturm/dyl celar 2 on 1. Hell, even the first shift was strong.
The penatlies gave WSH an edge, but not by that much. Sharks also had some good puck movement.
This team is playing well.
p.s.: Gieorgiev laid another egg. Here's hoping Wedgewood follows suit. A few more games like this for blackwood and a few more eggs laid by COL goaltending, and those avs will no choice but to come o' knokin'. Grier can fleece 'em with all the leverage, patience, and chips. The avs season is slowly slipping due to the goalie issues. No way they can allow that to continue much longer.
