I said Ferraro might be the worst defenseman in the league earlier this season. He's making me eat so much shit lately and I'm honestly happy for him because he's just a good dude. Hope he can keep up this level of play, or at least be consistent.

I mean the reality is he's not this good so I expect regression, but it's not a coincidence that suddenly having two legit D pairings in his and Wallman's happened around the time this team really started flourishing a few games back.

on an individual level, there's still stuff he could improve on but he's making it work lately. less panic in his game, which is still kinda scary watching him.

It's a little bummer that PP goal is going to be the highlight of the game rather than any of those crazy plays Celebrini's line made down the stretch in regulation.

A couple plays, Zetterlund was hounding the puck so hard he jumped on it at the same time as Celebrini and killed the play lol

What the hell is going on with Ferraro?
I don't have any answers but her's my educated guess. What we were seeing when he was struggling was not as bad as he is just like what we're seeing now isn't as good as what he is. I think the chemistry not just with Liljigren but all the forwards makes it easier to slow it down and not be so jittery. I do think it's not a coincidence that once all the players found chemistry leading to some stability, it's easier for all the players to do their job effectively knowing the nuances of their teammates. As the senior spokesman of that group, I believe he put a lot of the responsibility on his shoulders and he was straight-up panicking. I do believe it's a confidence thing. Like cornerbacks in football, once you start doubting yourself suddenly your decision making is a tenth of a second slower, and that's all it takes.
