How can we see what he can do if he's constantly getting shuffled? I want to see him play on a line, get comfortable and see what happens
You have to earn everything. This isn't the WHL or the AHL , this is tìhe NHL . Jake is not a rookie. Should have his shit together by now. If you can't get it together in a contract season , I don't know what to say to you.

In Quebec City on a mini vacation (lovely place to visit) but I missed most of this one tonight. Got to at least watch the shootout. Guess I’ll have to watch some highlights.

Feel bad for Ullmark, the last 3 games he has been outstanding with very little support and his numbers are unfairly taking a bit of a beating.
The W was most important, and he got that at least. I do agree with you though

Again. Nobody is saying anything less. But man, we  just won a game and less than 20 seconds later you're complaining about Jake like he alone is a problem on this team.

Contract year. Lost his top center. Trying to find chemistry with other players but hasn't been on any line long enough to develop chemistry. How can we see which center he gels with if Monty is constantly changing them multiple times a game?

Loved that game… it was like a beer league game where the old guys gutted it out. Shatty and JVR… Pasta was NOT to be denied

All of the players are getting moved around.
This is an issue.

Felger and others used to b**** about entrenched lines under Claude Julien and Bruce Cassidy. I agreed, though there were reasons for that.

It's relatively early, but it's not that early. We're past the first third of the season, and no one I know can name the first two lines. Maybe not even lines three or four. And that's because Montgomery changes them up in game on the fly constantly.

I understand the impulse and I largely agree. But at some point you have to set things in a stable direction. That hasn't happened as yet.

I don't like what Montgomery has done with Matt either.

Unfair, but I am not a fan of Jim Montgomery at present.

We'll see.

Oh come on. That's a bullshit card to play. You have been defending JDB beyond reason. To play the we just won card when your hero had nothing to do with it is beyond ridiculous . I think you can tell by now I generally respect your takes but you should find another horse to bet on before you go broke.

Obviously the injuries and lack of depth doesn't make it any easier but yea as far as the lines go it seems like now that we are a third the way into the season other teams' lines have gelled and show chemistry when alot of times the Bruins just don't and end up getting outplayed shift by shift and end up relying on random breakdowns by the opposing team to try and capitalize on.

Apologies for the giant run-on sentence.

Try speech to text. It's a lifesaver!

Especially if you hate your phone, and IT in general, as I do.

It also annoys others, which helps,

Joker, look I have no issues with anyone calling out Jake. I have been doing the same. We get it. I get it. You get it. He gets it. He needs to score. I'm not the only one who sees the good in everything else he's doing. If you don't see that, that's fine. I don't defend him beyond reason. I know that's the stereotype on here about me. But I thought this was a team game? So Jake didn't score in the SO or the game so he had nothing to do with the win? I find that ridiculous.

I think we need to stop shifting the lines and get some stability to see where Jake fits first. Monty constantly shifts the lines every game, multiple times a game. There needs to be some consistency here. Especially when we need Jake to get going. I've been fair about Jake. Go search my name on here. Especially about Jake. Misconceptions galore that I blindly defend him. Not the case. I respect you as a poster. I have no issues with you.

I said in the pre season that Geekie should take the 2C spot. Not because he's really a 2C but because he would be the only one out of his element who might be able to pull it off on some nights.

He believes in himself. Given the chance he's earned it.
