Why couldn’t they just review the play on the first review? Good reffing would have blown that play dead when the puck was covered. Decent Redding would have ruled it no goal on the first review.

The thing is, the refs are looking at if the puck crossed the line, not if there was interference. That's up to the coach afterwards. lol. I don't like it but I get why. They don't want to muddle things up.
