The wins aren't always pretty but they find ways to battle them out.
May have been a missed penalty on the goal, but so was the high stick on Zacha(?) just prior to that in the Red Wings end.

They played poorly - blame all the Centennial hoopla this time but....this is not a team that inspires any degree of confidence
The record under Sacco is the most deceptive 5-2 I can ever remember.....hopefully it is buying time for DS to make the needed changes without looking totally desperate

I like him too
He's only 23 and has lots of potential to be a damn good offensive defenseman ...but needs to work on his defensive game, which will only improve with more games played

Sacco has my attention for sure. Could have easily been 6 and 1 due to the pens debacle loss.

Definitely not a contender yet but being a scrappy middling team builds grit and leadership which is what the young core needs most so I'll take a down year from Pasta and Mac if it means them gaining the ability to use that extra gear the next time it matters.
