I've watched past highlights of his shot. The release and velocity is insane. He barely looks like he's about to shoot and a few ms later the puck is flying at full speed.

There was zero need to trade Askarov this early too. Could have been the backup. I'll be honest and say I don't mind the Stamkos and Marchessault contracts at the time, but replacing McDonagh with Skjei is horrible.

Bringing in Wedgewood in the off-season was such a slap in the face to Askarov who has huge upside.

Yeah I've lost a lot of confidence in Struble. Not really sure why Hughes gave Barron a 2 year contract, it should have been a 1 year deal. With Savard also not being good anymore, Hughes might as well flush the season down the toilet again if he doesn't get legit help.
