Most likely the team will finish right around .500. They are not a good team they are not a bad team. They are in transition. They are a lot of fun to watch, so enjoy it.

They will probably pick somewhere in the 4-8 range, and we will find a good player there. And then two more later in the first. Whoever we pick isn't going to be in Columbus next year anyway. We won't be drafting next years top line no matter where we pick.

The framework is there, so enjoy it. Enjoy the success and the growth and development that' s going to be happening. Should be a lot of fun.

Of all the posts in this thread, I think Robert hit the nail on the head. The relentless (and it is relentless) fore and back checking of this team is wearing other teams down. Jackets are challenging other teams to match their compete level and the opponents cannot do it.

I don't know why it pains me to say this, but our coaching staff - in Columbus and Springfield - must be doing one helluva job.

I agree with that as well, and as a glass half full kind of guy I don't want to be a Debbie downer. But here is the thing. We have seen this movie before. The Jackets play tough but when it starts getting down to crunch time and all the other teams fighting for a play-off spot kick it up a notch the Jackets don't have another gear to kick into.

I understand that this is a short season, but desperation has probably not set in with a lot of teams yet. When it does we will see a whole other lvl of play from a lot of teams.

I hope that I am wrong, and the Jackets keep this going. We shall see.

I am not sure that this team would not find another gear. These guys ARE NOT the Jackets of years past. These guys believe in themselves and I could see them challenging each other to turn it up that extra notch.Just like Spinal tap. They can turn their amps up to eleven. This is a special group of players.

It doesn't help the team, but it is nice to throw in a 'told you so' or 'look at us now' at all the haters.

I'll do this after they win their first playoff series, or end up high in the conference...not during a relatively short winning streak - however strong the temptation...

I just wanted to say congratulations for a well deserved home and home sweep. Columbus certainly earned those two wins. Its amazing to see the confidence they are playing with.

I really like the way you guys play. Just be sure to make it hard on everyone in the league, not just my Wings.

 Don't take it personal.... The current Jacket team is looking beyond Detroit, first things first and knocking off your boys is a good start... baby steps...

That's the hoped-for plan. :)

That said, we seem to be ahead of schedule, so whether or not it lasts is questionable. But, hey, it's fun while it's going on. :D
