Yeah. Dime-a-dozen infraction that only gets called because of the guy pulling a comically dramatic spin-o-rama and throwing himself 50 feet down the ice.
In the AHL the players aren't smart enough to get that call.

It's one of the things that differentiates players in the NHL and the AHL.

And one of the reasons Brodzinski will never be an NHL player.

Laviolette's structure can only put lipstick on a pig for so long.

This roster is so underwhelming even with Laf being an NHL player, and a couple of injuries have turned it into a legit eyesore.

I look forward to the next opportunity to rebuild because maybe we will actually draft and develop sufficient forward talent next time.

That "structure" is mostly defensive. The offense is a half arsed mishmash of dump and half chase and "getting pucks on net". Panarin + Laffy are the only ones free to do something different other than "dump it" or "get the puck to the net and get to work". Makes the team very predictable.
Yeah. Offensively they’re mostly the same though they are going to the net a bit more. There’s really not a ton a coach can do for these guys on the offensive end I think. But if the defense is stout the rest falls into place.
