Shesty looks better and more comfortable when he has more ice to work with, such as one on one or open shots from the slot - see his Vezina season when the oppo's had an open shooting season on him, than he does now under this supposedly more defensive structure which makes him have to scramble more for his saves as the puck is hopping about in the slot much more. I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

They visibly, pretty much every game for large stretches, make it very obvious they are not willing to take a hit to make a play (other than Lindgren or Cuylle), play like shit, and get dummied. It's baffling. Other teams don't do this very often for the record.

Brodzinski could score at this level with enough time on the ice with good players. He doesn't offer enough else to be afforded that.

He was on Vince's Podcast this week with some sobering stats. This team is reverting back into old habits. If they tune another coach out, the axe needs to drop on some of these players. NMC or not, that can't happen again.

Did you not see how he literally threw 43 into the corner from the blue line? I mean, that was legit power. No embellishment by that guy at all. The caps locker room isn’t having a big laugh at the ref now, nope.
